charges fast.
Stand charges fast and feels solid. The orange matches my design lab controller which is a plus and it looks really nice. All the other stands out there look like a tape dispenser but this one looks like it was form fitted for the controller.

best charging stand available.
This is by far the best charging stand I've owned. This stand is so secure and heavy. This finish on this stand is awesome -- it matches my controller perfectly. I have the energizer stand and it worked ok for a while then it started acting up. I had to jiggle the controller to make it charge then it stopped charging all together. It also didn't match my controllers at all.

Controller Gear Charging Stand Wow!
All i have to say is wow. Great product highly recommend it. Totally solid design and materials. I really like that it keeps my controller ready to game. totally worth the price. Thanks Controller Gear.

I bought this last week and it was expensive but worth it. Kinda like the difference between an Elite controller and regular controller. I have owned a PowerA and Energizer stand and both have stopped working on me. The quality of this stand is much better and I love the color options!

Finally high quailty charging stand.
I bought this to replace my 2 months old dock station that stopped working for no reason. Love the way this charging stand match my controller, battery life is beyond what I expected out of rechargeable batteries. if you are in the market for charging station this charging stand is the right choice.

Finally an elite charging stand.
Finally a charging stand that works every time. I don't have to play around with the controller to line it up only to find after I left my controller on it it didn't charge. You can tell its a premium, quality product. Works on all my controllers, even my Elite. I threw away my bb charging stand after a week. This one makes the others seem like a joke. Great job Xbox. Finally they've come out with a great quality elite charging stand.

Great looking chargning Stand and very durable.
The fact that the charging stand materials are the exact match to my controller says a lot about the quality of the stand. It's a premium product and you get what you pay for, this is not the charging station that you will need to replace in few months.

Battery cover color doesn't match.
Bought a blue one of these, and the battery cover color is some dark / midnight blue that doesn't match anything. I emailed controller gear support and they haven't even bothered to respond after 2 weeks.

This is a remix between two existing controller stands with a little extra. One had the right curvature for holding the controller, the other had a higher resolution outer stand curvature, and I had some ideas.

Print it on the side.
Post-Printing.
I made some indents on the stand's curvature and on the top to make room for a self adhesive silicone pad. I ordered it from ebay, they are sold in 12x12" sheets. The controller doesn't slide on plastic now and it's much more quiet if it vibrates after putting it on the stand. I put some on the underside as well so it sticks to the table nicely.

Could someone mod this so that a controller with the Microphone adapter would fit? :)
Print this and it was great. Is there a Chance to have it for a Controller with Headset Adapter on it?
Couldn't get more than two to be stacked. Maybe my base was messed up. Ended up using velcro to secure to the TV stand.
I'm not sure if you are going to get this or not but I'm about to re-mix this model and I was wondering in which direction does it fall when you have more than two stacked, Forward or to the sides?
I think its forward. I was going to redesign this so that it slopes back rather so they stack in a diagonal fashion rather than vertical.
I only designed it to hold 2 as that is how many controllers i have. Love to see your remix when you done.
I'll make sure I share it under the "Remix" tag so you get proper credit and notified when I post. :D.
My main focus is going to be making it so I can use both Xbox One and 360 controllers with it as I have both, but I figured while I was at it see if I can fix the balance problem too. There are other models out there that do both, but I prefer your base design.
Printed this out. Looks almost exactly the same as the last picture. My only issue was I had to add a support between the base and the first holder. After that all is good.
does this work with xbox 360 too?
Im not entirely sure as i think the 360 controllers have the petruding battery pack which wont allow it to sit on the holder.
Printed this last night and it came out pretty nice - had to sculpt/sand a bit where the bottom stand piece fits with the lower controller holder part. Printing in a higher resolution probably would have prevented that I imagine (I did a .3 layer height).
Only suggestion is to make a hole in the back of each controller stand to allow the charging cable passage. I didn't think of this until after the print so I'll be using a Dremel to open a hole for them.
great, glad it worked ok.
That was one of the next things i was going to add is the hole in the back.
I also had a similar problem with that piece unfortunately I had to split the lower model up so it would fit on my micro 3d.
I also mounted it on a nice piece of wood and printed in black for a friend and it actually looks really nice.
Can't get this to print. Every time it runs through my slicer it comes out as. random pieces. Not like whole pieces.. Like it went through a blender.
Ive just run it through cura 15.04 and it all works fine.
Im not sure what to suggest.
I can send you my g-code so you can check that but other than that it works fine.
And as you can see from the picture i printed it no problem.
Im sorry it doesnt work for you.
Ill try and upload it again and see if that works.
Did you download the pieces individually or as one.
I have tried both. I also have tried running it through a couple different slicers.
I had the same isse.

The Good The Xbox One S is a slick looking game console that's 40 percent smaller than the original and ditches the infamously gigantic power brick. It can display 4K video from streaming services and Ultra HD Blu-rays, and supports HDR contrast on video and games. The updated controller works with other Bluetooth devices, too.
The Bad 4K, Ultra HD Blu-ray and HDR settings only work with newer TVs, and may require some trial and error. The updated controller feels cheaper than its predecessor. Project Scorpio, the more powerful Xbox One successor, arrives in late 2017.
The Bottom Line The Xbox One S is the console Microsoft should have delivered three years ago, but there's little reason to upgrade if you already own the original box.
Review Sections.
CNET Gaming Consoles Microsoft Xbox One S.
Update 8/4/16: Several spec teardown reports have uncovered slight difference in the graphical hardware performance of Xbox One S. Specifically, Xbox One S has a small GPU clock increase of 914 MHz from 853 MHz and an ESRAM bandwidth increase of 219 GB/s from 204 GB/s. These bumps are only noticeable in-game in a small number of situations. In fact, they exist only as an bonus side effect of Microsoft ensuring HDR content performs without a hitch.
This is more like it.
The Xbox One S is the version of the console that Microsoft should've first released back in 2013 instead of the lumbering beast that we got. It's better in a number of ways, making it even more of a worthy alternative to Sony's PlayStation 4.
Xbox One S offers a far more attractive enclosure, options for a bigger hard drive, a slightly redesigned controller and some video perks for owners of 4K TVs. It starts at $300, £250 or AU$400 for the 500GB version; $350, £300 or AU$500 for a 1TB model; and $400, £350 or AU$549 for 2TB.
That last model is available to buy as of today in the US (and includes the vertical stand that otherwise costs $20 when purchased separately in the US), while those with the smaller hard drives will be available later in August, bundled with games such as Madden 17 and Halo. (Additional bundles will follow later in the year -- including a pricier 2TB Gears of War 4 version in October -- and may vary by region.)
Sounds like a slam dunk, right? Unfortunately, it's never that simple. The One S doesn't get an across-the-board "buy it now" recommendation for two reasons. First off, it doesn't deliver huge improvements for anyone who already owns an Xbox One. But more importantly, Microsoft has already promised that the next Xbox -- dubbed Project Scorpio -- will be arriving in late 2017 with with the seriously amped-up graphics and VR-ready hardware that audiences are clamoring for.
When it's all said and done, the Xbox One S should be primarily viewed as a slimmed-down version of the Xbox One that introduces a mildly updated controller and provisions for 4K display. It's not going to warp you into a state-of-the-art gaming experience. Pragmatically, you're probably better off nabbing an older Xbox One, which are now being sold at fire-sale prices. But if you are getting an Xbox One for the first time, have an interest in the bundled games and aren't saving your pennies for 2017's Project Scorpio, the One S is certainly a good all-round gaming and entertainment deal.
What's new in the Xbox One S.
There's a short but significant list of improvements and changes to the Xbox One S.
Smaller, cleaner design: To start, it's 40 percent smaller, which considering its power supply is now internal, is impressive. It's also stark white, with some slick plastic moldings flanking the entirety of the box. I think it's the best-looking Xbox Microsoft has ever designed.
The One S can also stand vertically, too. The 2TB model we received for review packs in a stand. If you buy one of the other models, you can get the stand separately for $20.
4K and HDR video: Xbox One S gets a fairly beefy upgrade on its video capabilities, with 4K resolution (3,840x2,160, or four times as sharp as standard 1080p HDTVs) and HDR (high dynamic range, which is basically enhanced contrast and color). Keep in mind: those features only work on compatible TVs and 4K functionality only works with a small but growing list of compatible video content. 4K can currently be accessed through streaming video services such as Amazon and Netflix (as long as you have the bandwidth to support it and pay for their premium tier) and those new 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. Certain games, meanwhile, will eventually be able to take advantage of HDR visual improvements, but don't look for PC-like 4K graphics -- the games are merely upscaled to 4K.
So no, you're not getting native 4K gaming out of an Xbox One S. In fact, only a limited number of games will feature HDR and none of them are out yet. They are Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3 and 2017's Scalebound.
New controller design: The Xbox One controller has been updated for the S, too. It has a more streamlined top section, better range and textured grips. It can also use Bluetooth to connect, which opens the door for compatibility with other devices -- no more annoying dongles, at least on Bluetooth-compatible PCs.
The One S controller (right), compared with its predecessor.
Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the new controller's design. It's not a drastic departure from the original, but there's just enough of a change to make it feel cheaper. The plastic textured grips don't feel good the way rubberized ones do, but thankfully the triggers seem unchanged. The D-pad also feels slightly less tactile -- I even noticed differences between two of the new controllers side by side.
IR blaster and receiver: Still present is the IR port for controlling the console with a remote, but the Xbox One S also features an integrated IR blaster to control or power on other devices in the room.
And it still does everything the old Xbox One does: The good news is that you're not losing anything with the Xbox One S compared with its predecessor. Around back the console offers a lot of the same ports as the original Xbox One, though noticeably absent is a dedicated Kinect port. You can still attach Kinect to the Xbox One S, you'll just need a special $40 (!) adapter. Either way, the omission of a Kinect port should give you an idea of how that peripheral is regarded at Microsoft HQ.
HDMI-in and -out ports are still there, so you can still make use of the Xbox One's live TV integration if that's something that appeals to you, but I never found it overly useful.
Suffice it to say, the One S plays all existing Xbox One games, and a growing list of Xbox 360 games. It also includes all of the encouraging software improvements Microsoft has made over the past few years, including the redesigned interface, support for the Cortana digital assistant (using a microphone headset), compatibility with the Windows Store and, soon, additional cross-play options with Windows PC gamers on certain titles.
4K and HDR scorecard.
I want to personally thank the Xbox One S for introducing me to the hot mess that is the world of 4K and HDR formats. I considered myself fairly fluent in the language of home theater, but I was bewildered at the insane of amount of granularity and confusion that the format is currently plagued with.

Using the Play & Charge Kit battery pack.
Insert the battery pack that came with your Xbox One Play & Charge Kit into your Xbox One Wireless Controller, and charge it using the charge cable included in the kit.
Insert the battery pack.
Open the battery compartment door. Insert the Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack with the connection side first, aligned with the connection points in the compartment. The battery is designed to be inserted only in this direction. Replace the battery compartment door.
Charge the battery.
Connect your charge cable to the USB port on the front of the controller.
Connect the other end of the charge cable to a USB port on your Xbox One.
If your Xbox One console is off, turn it on. The console must be turned on after the controller is connected or the battery won’t charge. However, you can then turn it off again if you want to.
The light on your charge cable glows amber to indicate the battery is charging. When the light changes to white, the battery pack is fully charged.
You can use your controller to play while the batteries charge. Your controller transmits all signals through the cable until it’s unplugged. When the battery pack is fully charged, you can stay connected to your console with the charging cable without using battery power or damaging your batteries.
You can also charge your battery by connecting the controller and charge cable to any USB power source, and use other USB-certified cables. However, charging times may vary.
Standard AA (LR6) batteries work in your Xbox One Wireless Controller, and so do rechargeable AA (LR6) batteries. Regular rechargeable batteries don’t charge in the controller. Recharge other batteries by the method recommended by the manufacturer.
Troubleshooting.
From time to time, it’s a good idea to clean the battery contacts with a dry cloth or isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. Don’t use water or chemicals, which can damage the contacts.
If the LED on the charge cable is not lit, make sure your battery is in place and the cable is properly inserted into the controller and console.
If your battery is still not charging, your battery may be at fault. See Troubleshoot the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit battery pack.
Consult your Xbox One Product Manual for important health and safety information about using batteries with your Xbox One Wireless Controller.
