some innovative game play.
While it does have some nice game features with the drone and synchro shot as well as some of the other perks that can be built out by each gamer's personal preferences, the game play itself is very much like f ar c ry four, with mission selection and regions as well as the 'random' supply the rebels missions and stop the convoy missions. Clearing an enemy outpost or base by stealth or brute force is fun but go over the hill and come back and it is repopulated with enemies all over again. Depending on your game play/interest that can be a boon or a bane. While there is some flexibility in story mission progression and how you go about taking down the head bad guys it isn't free form and some linear patterns are readily evident.

Don't recommend, get rid of that virus Ubisoft.
Bought the Deluxe Edition. Single player works fine, but it won't let me play online. It wants me to install Ubisoft and sign up for an account. When I did that, it wouldn't connect to Ubisoft, kept signing me out of my profile, kicked me out of the game, wanted my Microsoft account password, it acted like a virus. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Love this game. Cant stop playing it.

Inside Xbox One X Enhanced: Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Many of gaming’s most compelling stories come from those who’ve helped to create our favorite Xbox One games. In our Inside Xbox One X Enhanced series, these creators will share the behind-the-scenes accounts of the work involved in enhancing these epic games for Xbox One X, how they’ve helped chart the course of the world’s most powerful console, and what that means for the future of gaming. Today, we’ll be chatting with Ubisoft’s Vincent Delassus, Art Director on the open-world action game Ghost Recon Wildlands .
What specifically is your development team doing to enhance Ghost Recon Wildlands for Xbox One X?
We are very excited by the work done by the team to enhance Ghost Recon Wildlands for Xbox One X. The game will feature improved draw distances, better terrain representation through improved tessellation, as well as a beautiful higher resolution and full HDR support.
How do these enhancements impact the gaming experience?
Players will feel like Bolivia has never been more realistic. The improved terrain tessellation provides new levels of immersion, while the improved draw distance will allow players to admire even better vistas in the massive open world of the game.
Why did your development team choose to focus on these enhancement areas?
We are very proud of the technical achievement we reached with Ghost Recon Wildlands on the Xbox One X: being able to evolve in a massive and dangerous open world, with amazing vistas and incredible ranges of engagement allows players to truly express themselves. Sniper, assault, stealth, recon: all playstyles are welcome (and encouraged!)
How do you expect fans of Ghost Recon Wildlands will respond to seeing/playing it on Xbox One X with these enhancements?
We hope fans will enjoy discovering a Bolivia that is as beautiful as it has ever been, and that new people will join our amazing community, both through the main campaign of the game and through our new PVP mode, Ghost War.
How has the process been to get the game up and running on Xbox One X?
Working on the Xbox One X allowed us to improve several key aspects of the visuals of the game, and it was an exciting prospect from the get-go. Working with Microsoft ensured that we were able to make the most of this new power at our disposal.
What enhancement were you most excited about to explore leveraging for Ghost Recon Wildlands on Xbox One X?
The enhanced draw distance and improved resolution truly bring the immersion of the player in our open world to the next level.
What does 4K and HDR mean for your game, games in the future and development at your studio?
Ghost Recon Wildlands features a massive open world in which you can experience beautiful vistas, dynamic lighting, a day and night cycle and a full weather system. Being able to showcase the incredible lights of the sun peeking through the clouds in HDR and high resolution is a great experience that we hope our fans will enjoy!
Thanks to Vincent for taking the time to chat with us about Xbox One X Enhanced. We’ll be bringing you more interviews with more developers in the future, so stay tuned to Xbox Wire!

Awesome game, VERY POOR EXPANSION.
This game did something no one else has done, and it was awesome. The different zones, the missions, the gear, everything. Its also pretty realistic which i really liked. None of this space aged lazer gun BS. The X-Pac to this game, narco road, dont bother. Everything i mentioned above went out the window. Narco road is more like need for speed with retarded blinged out monster trucks, and cars. It ruined the game. Ubisoft made very poor decisions with it, but again, the original game is fantastic.

Legit shooter providing an actual open world!
Massive open world and an actually good story line to follow. Love single and co-op play but you want a mic for online, communication serves as a tool for effectiveness and its enjoyment. Most critical aspects lacking is not able to utilize the train, trying to land in it from parachute only knocks you out but it shouldn't. The issue with rebel support vehicle drop was fixed so you can choose the vehicle you want as you build up its skill effectiveness. Still waiting for fixes with lost helicopter control where it won't dethrottle/land when you try, it actually throttles upwards. The other more common and frustrating glitch is the lost capability to use your drone or binoculars requiring you to try fixing it by reloading your character to the map through death, fast travel, cut scenes which don't guarantee fixing the problem requiring you quitting a match and rejoining a game. I even had games where my mic does not register with the in game chat. Definitely still a 5 star game.

When Ubisoft doesn't flop.
Although far from perfect, it is a solid third person open world shooter/rpg. With solid and well polished shooting mechanics plus movement freedom this game can be absolutely addicting. Although the story and characters aren't as captivating, the diverse bolivian landscape at times can be breathtaking and an absolute joy to explore. Co op is the definite way to experience this game, it is worth noting the absolute freedom this game gives you from tactical freedom to playstyle. It's customization is something that i wish other games had as it lets you customize your Operator how you please. In the end the game fun with or with out friend's and contains few bugs and glitches. It is addicting and contains a great amount of content that will leave you asking for more.

Huge open world.
Enjoyable campaign with good story line. They're issues with vehicle spawns but with a map of this magnitude there has to be a few things that are not quite right. With the option turn the hud off etc.. you can really change the feel of the game. With 150hrs in the game so far I have yet to max my character completely and am in no way bored with it yet. If you speed play I would say 100hrs of game time is worth the purchase price. The graphics are excellent even though it is limited by consoles. Character response is good, gun play is solid, overall A+.

Good Gameplay could have better missions.
the graphics are beautiful. when i played the beta i really liked it! i thought the missions were going to be better! the story could've been better! the customization is something we haven't seen before in any free mode game! if you love free roaming games like GTA. FYI ubisoft if your planning on making a ghost recon wildlands 2, make sure it has a better storyline makes the characters more involved.

Amazing game! Give it a try.
This game is great AND addicting! I seriously love it. The gameplay reminds me of Mafia 3 + The Division, which were both fun games. Some people say its repetitive but if youve played Mafia 3, then this game wont be a bother. What I love about this game is the difficulty of the game.Missions that require you to extract someone undetected are so tough but so fun at the same time; its an adrenaline rush. I definitely recommend it👍 The game isnt perfect at all, but no game is. Don't pay too much attention to the negative "repetitive" comments, its seriously not that big of a deal; the game still manages to be fun. I dont think any game is worth $60, but this game i didnt mind purchasing for that amount.

Best TC game Hands Down & I've played them all.
This game is so fun no matter how you approach it if you like single player once you start upgrading your team you can make them so much more affective or if your into coop you can build up your person to be everyone's saviour with real cool abilitys and I didn't even get to see what fun there is to be had in the PVP that wasn't available in the closed or open betas but i have heard its been confirmed to be in there if you like stealth games its as good as Blacklist if you like shooters its way more fun and challenging then any COD'S with a mix of 1st and 3rd person that just works The Map is huge and completely open you can go anywhere you want right off the bat but i would use caution because pick the wrong fight and your 4 man team will be facing an army that knows how to fight and has the tools to kill. The AI don't F#@K around but if your smart and tactical you can clean out a whole village with a great feeling of achievement. if you like the Division but want realism ENJOY.

It actually did better than what I predicted.
As a long time Ghost Recon fan, I actually thought this game would do badly when I saw that it was going to be only a 4 player co-op open world shooter, I actually wasn't impressed with early gameplay footage and stuck to my opinion of it going to be a dive right up until they released the open beta, then I was impressed! The game sticks to it's classic Recon & Assault gameplay that rewards well thought out planning and execution, and blends it together with a massive open world with tons of things to do, it also features drop in-drop out co-op where four players can join in and take on objectives together or seperately, Personally I prefer to play solo and use the AI squadmates to my advantage, unfortunately, currently AI squadmates are removed from Co-op sessions even if only a single player joins your sessions causing you to be at a slight disadvantage unless 3 players join your session. despite that one blemish, this game is amazingly fun and addictive. Plus PVP is on the way.

A typical Ubisoft title.
This game is a very mixed bag: the massive open world, gunplay, realistic ballistics, and even the AI is well above average. Add in the relatively few bugs at launch (for an Ubisoft title) and the co-op play and you would have the makings of a fantastic game IF it didn't get boring so quickly. For such a huge world, the missions are all essentially the same thing. The inclusion of a map jam-packed with trinkets/upgrades to collect, combined with God-awful, poorly programmed, ¨tail the bad guy¨ missions often has me reliving my nightmare of certain Assassin's Creed titles and reminds me that Ubisoft if still milking its limited bag of tricks for all that it's worth.

Almost a great game but severely lacking.
For the first month or so, I had loads of fun with my friends doing all the sneaking around and getting all the gear and skill points. We saw the flaws and were like, "oh well theyll probably fix it later on." Im not really a harsh judge of video games. However, the more I played the more I found myself saying "I wish they had this or this in the game." or "why dont they have this?" I realized that this game may be huge in scale, but there isnt any replayability because it is too boring to play through again. Its bearable with friends, but youll still find the game lacking. The physics are absolutely horrible. When you fly off of a motorcycle you look like a cartoon because there is no ragdoll. Actually all the physics in the game make it feel like the game originated on the original Xbox console. That nostalgia wears off quickly. Driving is "eh". AI is HORRIBLE. They are either extremely dumb or xray visioned killing machines. Add a jump button for Satan's sake. C'mon Ubisoft. Geezus.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands Is Now Free To Try On PS4 And Xbox One.

Ubisoft's popular open-world shooter Ghost Recon: Wildlands now has a free trial on PS4 and Xbox One. The demo allows you to play up to five hours of the game--so if you were on the fence about buying, now might be the time to dive in and give it a go. The trial is available worldwide for free on consoles, though it seems PC players will not get a similar demo--no trial can currently be found on Steam or Uplay.
The news comes just a fortnight after Ubisoft announced a PvP open beta for Wildlands. The game launched without any form of player-versus-player mode in March, but the new competitive multiplayer suite is coming at some point soon with a free beta "later in the summer."
There has been a great deal of post-launch support for the game, with multiple DLC expansions and free updates, including a recent one that added a new difficulty mode, Tier 1. We also learned last month that Wildlands was the best-selling game through the first half of 2017 around much of the world.
We enjoyed Wildlands when it launched earlier this year, though it did have its problems. "As only the second open-world game in the Clancyverse," wrote critic Miguel Concepcion, "Ghost Recon: Wildlands is a middlingly safe tactical shooter and a slightly wasted opportunity given the ambitious scope of its seemingly boundless map. While its main strength is its mission diversity, it doesn't take long to lose the motivation after reaching El Sueno's doorstep. Even with a foursome of highly trained friends, Wildlands eventually reveals its diminishing returns. The feeling of positive immediacy and dopamine hits begin to wane sooner than you expected from a game with such a large and diverse world." Read more in our full Ghost Recon: Wildlands review.

Not like Ghost Recon but surprisingly Awesome!!
I remember how awesome the first trailer was. but then when they showed gameplay I was so stunned and disappointed!! The more gameplay videos I would seen the worst the game looked!! It looked nothing like a "Ghost Recon" game and I swore not to touch it. Then the open Beta came out and I was like let me give it a try without any good expectations. I was blown away. The game is just AWESOME. My Xbox One friends didn't want to try it but when they did they fell in love!! The game isn't like the traditional Ghost Recon style and it does have "a bit" of a Division look but its nothing like the Division (thats a good thing) you can kill an enemy with one headshot haha. It has some of the Ghost Recon things like sync shot, drones and other things that will remind you this is Ghost Recon. In the beta there were some bugs that needs to be ironed out but I'm sure they'll fix it by the time its out or in time. Don't go into this thinking you want to see and play a traditional Ghost game or you might just not like it no matter how good it is. this feels like a different type of animal with the soul of a Ghost Recon game if that makes any sense :)
I would recommend this to a friend.
An Aye Okay Game.
Ghost Recon has always been a game series I've tried to stick with. Ubisoft has changed it up quite a bit since Advanced War-fighter, the pull of Wildlands is its co-op, and beautiful open-world. The game play is a wee too easy, especially if you favor stealth over all else. The NPC's themselves are rather dumb. The amount of ways Ubisoft offers you to complete a mission is nice and refreshing. (I've experienced the game through the Beta and yes, I can't judge an unfinished product but Ubisoft isn't the greatest at fixing issues with their games, hence, Assassin's Creed Unity) The verdict: this is a good game at best, nothing revolutionary or innovative or great about it, but is a fun way to kill time with a couple of friends.
I would recommend this to a friend.
Gameplay is similar to that of "the Division" you can definitely tell it is a Tom Clancy game.
I would recommend this to a friend.
WOW incredible gameplay and enviroment.
must buy and this game will take a while to beat like AC series.
I would recommend this to a friend.
Amazing game.
Excellent new modes and stunning graphics, cool online cop-op.
I would recommend this to a friend.
Awesome Game.
Played this game at the UbiSoft Lounge at E3. Awesome game play, I was ready to buy the game there and then. Guess I'll have to wait for the much anticipated release. Huge open world map, Highly recommend!
I would recommend this to a friend.
Not impressed.
This game is driving all around in a car and not much I like.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
Great Sandbox game.
Kinda like Far Cry but with OTS ( over the shoulder) squads. Love this game even though it doesn't feeel like the original Ghosts did/do. Still great.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands Review.
After 42 hours, 1,415 enemies, and 17,644 bullets, I have completed Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ campaign and hit the level cap. I also crashed some helicopters, which may or may not have led to the accidental deaths of my fellow IGN teammates. That’s classified.
Wildlands’ map is, outside of MMOs, the largest I’ve seen in a game in a long time. If you played the beta (6.8 million of you did), you were restricted to only one province; the final game includes more than 20 provinces, some smaller, some larger, all packed with things to do. Each area includes at least one Santa Blanca Cartel boss, hidden weapons and attachments, enemies to interrogate, fast-travel locations, skill points and resources, commendation medals, bases to raid, and more. If you want a game that’ll keep you busy for a while, Wildlands absolutely has your back.
Biomes aren’t just eye candy; they have a major impact on how you play.
No matter which part of the map you explore, Ubisoft’s in-game version of the South American country of Bolivia looks great. From the get-go, you’re free to roam the entire map, which includes jungles, mountains, deserts, salt flats, lakes, swamps, quarries, and caves. These biomes aren’t just eye candy; they have a major impact on how you play. Areas thick with foliage are perfect for hit-and-run guerrilla warfare. Deserts have little or no cover, so fighting from range works well and having an escape vehicle ready is imperative. In the mountains, with a bit of leg work, you can usually hike to the high ground and assault your enemies from above. Wildlands leaves the strategy up to you, and because vehicles and fast travel points are so plentiful, the wide-open Bolivian landscape feels like a land of opportunity, not a burden.
Speaking of vehicles, yes, the chatter is true: many of them don’t control well. Even on a bone-dry dirt road, some cars and jeeps feel like they’re skidding around on slick ice. After 15 or so hours I was able to pilot anything without much trouble, but it took far too long to nail Wildlands’ “feel.” Choppers, in particular, take a while to break in: once you’re cruising, you’re good, but building up to that speed requires a weird dance of tipping the nose up and down and easing up on the throttle. And, because the map is so large, you’re forced to spend a ton of time in vehicles to get to locations between fast-travel points. Also, it’s very common for high-priority targets to jump into a vehicle and flee, and if they get too far away you’ll often lose them and fail. These situations take an already uneven driving and piloting system and push it to its frustrating breaking point.
Wildlands’ main issue, however, is poor mission variety. For the first five or so provinces everything felt exciting. The next 15? Not so much. Until I switched to playing co-op, it descended deeper and deeper into repetition.
Flamethrower Guy, RPG Guy, and Guy With The Big Shield don’t make an appearance.
The cycle begins with a boss hunt. Each province has a boss, and to learn that boss’ identity and draw him/her/them out from hiding you need to complete four to six missions. That’s not a major ask, but the missions are usually a rote combination of the following: blow up an inanimate object (cocaine cache, equipment), extract and interrogate a high-value target (an assistant, a family member), steal or photograph something (a car, documents), or just kill some stuff. It doesn’t help that enemy variety that stands between you and your objectives is almost non-existent. There are standard enemies, heavily-armored enemies, and snipers – that’s about it. Even common video game mainstays like The Flamethrower Guy, The RPG Guy, and The Guy With The Big Shield don’t make an appearance. Sometimes you’ll face other obstacles, like an enemy chopper or a jammer that keeps you from using your drone. They definitely crank up the intensity, but you’ll quickly learn how to deal with them, too. Even the variety that comes from the diverse locations isn’t enough to mix it up.
These issues might have doomed Wildlands if not for its highly satisfying sandbox antics. When you’re a kid and you only have four action figures, what do you do with them? You fire up your imagination, go outside, and make your own ridiculous fun. The same goes for Wildlands.
Yes, you may be on your umpteenth extraction mission. but this time, what if you throw your target in the trunk of a car instead of lifting him out by helicopter? That seems like a good idea, but before you can get into the driver’s seat an enemy truck rams that car down a hill. Now you’re running downhill to check on your VIP passenger, all while shouting at your friends to find a new escape vehicle. In the distance, you hear mortar fire. A second chopper is closing in.
Then, maybe next time you’re on an extraction mission enemies may take out your escape vehicle and you’ll have to run through the woods at night, holding your target by the neck and taking out pursuing enemies with only a pistol. Just when you think you’re home free, you’ll get spotted. The chase continues.
Yes, the missions are too similar in design. You’ll undoubtedly feel the deja vu. But most of the time things don’t go the way you’d planned. The madness that ensues is what saves Wildlands, and what compelled me to keep playing well past the hours a human being should normally be awake. These are the moments I talk about when people ask me how I’m liking it.
Some of those moments are made memorable by the boss characters. Wildlands’ standard enemies may not be special, but it does a fine job of turning cartel bosses into more than just targets. None of them will join the pantheon of great video game villains, but in games like this, it’s often the case for underlings to simply feel like rungs on a ladder, something you just step on in order to move up. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor got around this issue by imbuing its minibosses with personality, and so does Wildlands. These characters are outlandish, unnerving, and pulpy. Remember when Walt and Jesse dissolved bodies in barrels of acid in Breaking Bad? One of the cartel bosses does that too, but he also has a beloved stuffed animal and the mental capacity of a child. Another boss duo of former doctors plays weird sex games while they torture and interrogate the cartel’s enemies. It’s decidedly silly, and often more than a little bit on the nose, but they left a mark on me nonetheless.

Ghost Recon Wildlands Xbox One X Update Offers Big Improvements Over PS4 Pro Version.
The Ghost Recon Wildlands Xbox One Update offers big improvements over the PS4 Pro version of the game with a resolution boost up to 56%.
The Xbox One X patch that was released last week can be considered quite impressive with a big resolution bump over the PS4 Pro version while also implementing a range graphics options from Wildlands’ PC version. You can check out Digital Foundry’s Xbox One X/PS4 Pro analysis down below:
Let’s be clear – you’re not getting a native 4K upgrade here on Xbox One X, but what you are getting is a 56 per cent boost in resolution over PS4 Pro, plus a range of graphics upgrades pulled over from the PC version. The end result is pretty sweet…
The Xbox One X patch for Wildlands was released last month and includes the following:
Increased texture cache size to improve loading times by keeping recently used assets in memory. Increased distance at which object and terrain details will start to appear. Anisotropic filtering for better definition of terrain textures. Increased resolution of the terrain textures. Improved temporal antialiasing for less ghosting. Increased tessellation factor of the ground. New data set in high resolution for ground decals, i.e. more finesse in puddles, ruts and footprints.
“We are very proud of the technical achievement we reached with Ghost Recon Wildlands on the Xbox One X: being able to evolve in a massive and dangerous open world, with amazing vistas and incredible ranges of engagement allows players to truly express themselves. Sniper, assault, stealth, recon: all playstyles are welcome (and encouraged!)”, the development team wrote last month.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is out now for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The game was released back in March of this year.

The influential and vicious Santa Blanca drug cartel has turned the country into a narco-state, leading to lawlessness, fear, injustice, and violence. The cartel is on track to becoming a major underworld power and global threat. <p> An all-out war is not the answer. A surgical, stealthy, lethal approach is the only way to stop the disease at its source. The Ghosts, an elite US Special Forces team, are sent behind enemy lines to wreak havoc, destabilize, and.
