Synopsis.
Product Features.
Engross yourself in the latest adventures of Geralt of Rivia, once overthrower of monarchs and legendary monster slayer, now a highly skilled , hunting monsters on a quest to save his loved ones and protect the world from an ancient threat.
Live the engrossing storyline based on Andrzej's Sapkowski's seven-book series, full of expansive gameplay with consequential choices and deeply integrated quests that affect relations with NPCs and population and avoid well-known quest patterns.
Explore a vast open-world environment, from the rugged archipelago of Skellige, to the port city of Novigrad, to the war-ravaged No Man's Land, which is 30 times bigger than and requires horse riding and sailing to traverse.
Experience the varying ecosystems, cultures and atmospheres in each part of the world — each will continue daily life if left to itself, but features an interactive environment that is shaped by and dependent on your decisions.
Prove your combat skills in dynamic and brutal sequences with unique and diverse enemies, rooted in traditional RPG mechanics that depend on character development stats to interact with AI opponents.
Choose from a broad range of obtainable abilities and skills that mix advanced swordsmanship with the Witcher's magic signs and alchemical boosters, and experience smooth, varied combat movement thanks to 96 combat animations.
Utilize the tactical options at your disposal during battle, such as magic signs, potions, oils, bombs and traps, instead of relying on correct attack sequencing — the combat mechanics do not require you to take part in QTEs.
Hone your Witcher Senses system to strike at your opponents' weak points by using Geralt's knowledge of beasts, and capture the real feel of being a huntsman by finding clues in the surroundings, preparing bait and more to track down enemies.
Harness the Witcher Senses mechanic to discover tracks and clues invisible to mortals, examine dead bodies to find essential information and detect magic and danger with the Witcher medallion — a talisman that vibrates with the approach of anomalies.
Enjoy an expanded sign casting system — each of the five signs have two different modes of use to create diverse possibilities during combat and allow you to use magic in a creative way.
Access the highly intuitive Alchemy system to create fortified potions, bombs, blade coatings, new pyrotechnic devices, concoctions for specific monster types and more with additional control over the effects of drinking elixirs.
Admire and explore the jaw-dropping graphics, powered by RED Engine 3, that make the world come to life.

This Review Really Sums It Up.
First, i would like to point out i have never played any of the witcher games. So, going in to this one, i had low expectations, especially with everyone saying the game was downgraded for the consoles. Well, it is a fantastic game to me. No other ways to describe it. GRAPHICS - The graphics are more than solid good. The animation is simply out of this world with the occasional frame rate drop, but nothing which harm this game. Hey, not as bad as Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim (I owned all 3 of them and they were buggy, but fun). Those graphics are crisp and sharp. Every area is distinct from one another which means you know when you get to another area of the game. I really like the background where you can almost see like other levels far away. This is top notch to me. The water area could use some upgrades, but it still get the job done. It is pure pleasure just to go through this world and look at all the details (and i am just in the prologue still. lol). SOUND - The music in this game is just phenomenal. Man, talk about putting you in the mood. The voice acting is superb and whoever wrote their texts are really good. Overall, the sound effect is plain fun. Nothing else to say about it. GAMEPLAY – The game so far is very responsive. You can easily navigate and the character does exactly what you want. I don't find it too hard to get used to Gerald and his moves. I was playing a lot of Bloodborne before this game, so i am used by now to rolling and dodging. I have gotten stuck once or twice on rocks, but it happens rarely. You have to watch where you go or you could die easily falling of a cliff. STORY – This is a very innovative story to me. As mentioned, i have not followed the witcher story at all. I did not find i was at a total loss. I really want to find out what has happened and why. This game is apparently supposed to last approx.. 25h to 30h just with the main story. Should last close to 200h with all the side quests. The whole witcher world is captivating to me. All those monsters to hunt and the hundreds of NPC's to listen to. There is a lot to do here. FUN - There seems to be a lot of collectibles to find in this game, from weapons to weapons upgrades to various items and secrets. You can also find journals here and there. I did not think you could have more than skyrim, but this game may just prove me wrong. That is just awesome. The menus are a bit hard to navigate and it is a bit confusing. However, once you get it, it may takes a bit of work to get there, but it works. Who knows, maybe a patches in the future will address that. Overall, there is just a ton of fun to get with this game. CONCLUSION - This game is phenomenal period. I love the developper for getting us free DLC's (there are 16 coming soon). Yeah, they may ask money for 2 expensions later on, but at least, the DLC's are free and that's the way it should be. I suggest supporting those guys who made us a great game instead of supporting the practice of a game company releasing a horribly unfinished product and expecting the customers to pay full price. Yeah EA and Ubisoft, I am looking at you. I recommend the witcher 3 all the way. I mean, 60$ for 200 hours of game.
I would recommend this to a friend.
what an amazing game. i had a chance to play it for a few minutes but just opening it and enjoying the packaging was a great experience! ive never bought a game that had a card in it thanking me for spending my hard earned money on it. its just amazing. comes with a full map of the world, stickers, manual and like i said: a nice welcome card. go get it people you wont regret it.

This game is thick with plot. I put 15 hours in just running side-missions when I started. I got 40 hours in now. I'm only 3% done. There is always something to kill. If you plan right and mix the correct potions, the kills come easier than had you ignored the advice of the game. You can't change your character but you can customize clothes and hair. This is in essence a movie. 7th son seems to be based on this game. Probably not but it had similar undertones. You're a monster hunter. You occasionally hunt men. Missions can be paced where you can play for a few hours and have a good save point. You fill like you are accomplishing something instead of slugging through. There is a built in mini game that can eat hours of your time. It's kind of similar to a 3 level game of medieval blackjack war. You play cards up front, in the middle, and at the back of the field. You're looking to make the highest points. Sometimes you have to lose the first hand. But you collect the cards and play people throughout the game. You can't just run through all the side missions as the story progresses. There are level restrictions but the beauty of this game is that it won't restrict you from trying. You will fail them but you can pass them if you have a lot of skill. It's a million dollar title and worth every dime you spent on it. It's a buy but make sure you have the time to invest.
I would recommend this to a friend.
If you want a game that can take well over 200 hours I would recommend this one. Lots of side missions and other activities available. Nice there are different endings to game.
I would recommend this to a friend.
One of the best games in a while!
This game is amazing, so far I'm hooked the graphics, gameplay, and everything else. This game is one of the best in a long time.
I would recommend this to a friend.
Witcher/Wild Hunt.
This is my first Witcher game. I saw it at Best Buy and called my son to see if it would be a good xBox One game and he said he had played a previous Witcher game and it was pretty good. I am a 74 year old female and started playing this a couple of weeks ago and am so addicted. Love the story line. Hope this game lasts many hours. It is better than watching TV.
I would recommend this to a friend.
Phenomenal.
This game has everything, great story, sound, graphics. And best of all free DLC. The creator of the game has placed an insert that explains that they will give away all the DLC's they create. They also give you a soundtrack cd and a map. Not other creator does that anymore and this should be noted. This game is simply phenomenal and should be played by everyone.
I would recommend this to a friend.
The story is great and engaging. Even for someone who didn't play the first two I found the story surprisingly easy to follow. The open world is very detailed and highly enjoyable. The quests aren't your boring go kill ten bears kind of quests but are detailed and hold your attention, even the side quests. The choices you make effect you're game hours of playtime down the road. The only downside is that the combat can be a little repetitive, but honestly it didn't even bother me to much. I would recommend for anyone who is a fan of RPGs.
