ARK's Ragnarok Coming to PS4 and Xbox One Very Soon.
Everything for the ARK: Survival Evolved update 'Ragnarok' seemed to be on course for its July 4th rollout until Studio Wildcard announced a delay for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Since the update's announcement at E3, fans and gamers alike had been anticipating the launch after the poor reception of v. 256. In a way, this update is a reset for the celebrated action adventure RPG.
While PS4 and Xbox One updates had a hitch in their launches, the PC version went ahead with no delays. But the update seemed to be in trouble a few days before the release when Ark's Community Manager tweeted:
Xbox Survivors, we have identified a memory-related crash on our servers & are working on a fix for Monday. Apologies for any inconvenience.
By the July 4th release date, a little trouble turned into a big problem when Jen announced on Twitter:
Console users, Ragnarok will not be releasing on Xbox or PS4 on July 4th. Currently we are aiming for next week, the week of July 10th.
This bad news came with a little bit of sugar coating, though, as she revealed that the update would have a possible launch date of July 10th only a week later than expected.
The full launch of ARK: Survival Evolved is coming soon on August 8 , and will be available digitally and physically for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

ARK SURVIVAL Evolved Ragnarok is the latest sponsored mod map coming to the game, which will make its debut after this latest PS4 and Xbox One update.
ARK Survival Evolved Ragnarok comes to PS4 and Xbox One in July.
ARK Survival Evolved Ragnarok was announced during E3 by Studio Wildcard and is already available to play on PC.
It’s the first mod to be integrated into ARK as part of the ARK Sponsored Mods Program, and will be launched on PS4 and Xbox One.
Wildcard have confirmed that they hope to launch the new map on consoles on July 4, however, plans can always change due to the lengthy certification process.
But even if there is some kind of delay, fans can expect the new mod to go live next week, as some point.
Unlike the full game, Ragnarok has been developed by the former creators of popular ARK mods Valhalla and Umassoura.
The team includes David Miller, Matt Janz, and Jackson Lawrence, who came together to work on their latest project to offer yet another gaming alternative.
Global Cross-ARK and isolated Official Ragnarok servers will be available on all platforms, although the mod itself isn’t a completely finished product.
“Ragnarok is still in primary development, and so it will continue to expand with updates over time,” a message from Studio Wildcard explains.

As you can expect, Ragnarok includes its own special creatures, weapons and items, more of which will be revealed in the coming weeks.
One of the biggest draws will be the Griffin, a new tamable beast which is sure to prove a challenge for players.
“Gryphon Magnificum is undoubtedly a sight to behold. Many ancient myths tell of various depictions of the Griffin over the ages, but what is never disputed is its majestic and mysterious nature.
“With the front half of an eagle and the back half of a lion, it is as if these two creatures somehow fused together to form a superior land and air predator.
“While one's first instinct might be to approach the creature and marvel at its beauty, that would be a very poor decision. Its range of attacks makes it one of the more versatile predators I’ve witnessed.
“If its presence alone isn't enough to intimidate potential hunters, it has the ability to dive from the sky to the ground with such force that it inflicts damage to anyone unfortunate enough to be below it, or carry its momentum back into a rapid uplift.”

ARK update 760 for Xbox One with Ragnarok update – Full Patch Note.
ARK update 760 for Xbox One with Ragnarok Mod is now available for download. The game leaves its early access tag and now officially available as ARK 1.0. However, the work is still going on and soon you may get some pretty big ARK Survival Evolved updates.
The ARK Survival Evolved update for Xbox One includes some big changes and improvements. Both the Tek Shield and Tek Sword, as well as the Otter and Phoenix companions, are coming later this week. The Otter companion can ride around on your shoulders and can help retrieve silica pearls for you.

On the other hand, the flaming Phoenix can cook resources just by holding them. This legendary flyer is rideable if somehow one could acquire gear fireproof enough to withstand the flames blazing across its feathers.

Accroding to latest ARK patch notes, the update has implemented new Host UI. Marked designated servers as Legacy, check the Legacy filter if you cannot find your Official PC Server. Tesolved 2 server crashes related to structure placement. Turrets can now shoot through ragdolls you are dragging. Accroding to latest ARK changelog, the ARK Update 266 has fixed a rare issue where local profiles would sometimes corrupt. Primitive+ now has its own save directory. Placing rafts now requires standing on solid ground (no dynamic structures either). ARK update 760 for Xbox One has fixed: as client While using tek leggings, attempting to super sprint and running out of element (or having none) causes the camera to be stuck facing forward. ARK update 760 for Xbox One fixed an issue where on client PC dragging directly onto the empty area within a folder would actually not put the item into that folder on the server (leading to a de-sync, when you’d re-enter the inventory you’d see the items at the root). Dragging DIRECTLY onto Inventory Folders, local and remote, now puts the items into those folders (the exception is the ‘up level’ icon, doesn’t do anything). Transfer All To and From Inventories, in the root folder level, will now ignore items in subfolders of the inventory you’re transferring out of. ARK update 760 for Xbox One fixed: Pressing R1 to cycle snap points while mounted, caused the camera to cycle through 1st and 3rd person view. Fixed behavior of Text Input pop-up when using gamepad. ARK update 760 for Xbox One fixed: When creating a folder, it didn’t show it unless you reopen the inventory or press folder-toggle button. Altered tamed Griffin fly speed when near targets to better attack them. Fixed a sideways platform building bug. Respawn / Fast Travel UI now has a bed search textbox. Fixed ScorchedEarth rocks having incorrect destruction mesh material. ARK 760 for Xbox One fixed some third person camera interpolation jitters. Fixed “Setting the UI General scale to the lowest makes it so you cannot drag items down into some hotkey bars.” ARK update 760 for Xbox One fixed “can’t use escape or enter to close naming box after taming” Added a ramp snap point on the inside of giant hatchframes. Dye UI: Double Clicking (also double pressing (A) button) on a color region now dyes it Lowered dino HUD pop up when looking at a Titanoboa. ARK update 760 for Xbox One fixed area of TheCenter ‘Lava Island’ with improperly functioning dino spawns on servers. The Center resource gathering multiplier now matches that of The Island. Accroding to ARK Patch Notes, there is now a new Server Option: Force Respawn of Wild Dinos on Server Restart! Enabled by default on official servers, this will force weekly respawns of dinos on all servers to prevent certain dino types (like the Basilo and Spino) from becoming depopulated on long running servers. (?ServerAutoForceRespawnWildDinosInterval=SECONDS). Note in some cases this may not work more than once, we may have solved the case but we’re looking into it. ARK update 760 for Xbox One added new Server Option: Tribe Size and Alliance Size Limits! The new tribe member limit is defaulted to 70 players and the new alliance per tribe limit is defaulted to 10 on official servers (MaxAlliancesPerTribe=# and MaxTribesPerAlliance=# in Game.ini). Note: Values may be off by 1 (looking into it!), so just pick your number and then add 1 to it. Platform Saddles are now limited to maximum 40 saddles per tribe. Each platform saddle (with structures) counts as 19 tribe tame slots (? PersonalTamedDinosSaddleStructureCost=19 & ?MaxPersonalTamedDinos=40). 1/4 sized Ragnarok map update (the “Southwest Update”): Eggs no longer fall through structures during rendering. Accroding to ARK Patch Notes, Baby ovis should no longer fall through structures after being born. Players can now escape being grappled by any enemy by using tools with blades to “cut” the line. With ARK 760 for Xbox One, Turrets now have a Players Only mode which targets players riding on dinos before targeting the dino. Accroding to ARK Patch Notes, Crops can now be fertilized be pressing E on them instead of having to open the inventory. Hatching and Gestation progress bars now include countdown timers as well as percentages. The structure limit is now properly indicated to the player once the limit is reached. Storage boxes now indicate if they are full without having to open them. Corrected spelling of Pulminoscorpius. Pump action shotgun pellets per shot increased from 10 to 12 (20% damage increase on full hit), initial spread decreased from 10 to 7.5, and max cone size at full range decreased from 100 to 75 degrees. Decreased the stun on humans from shocking tranq darts from 5 seconds to 2 seconds. ARK update 760 for Xbox One fixed 3 exploits used to get under the world map. When structures or tames are deleted due to the PVE timer expiring it is now properly communicated in the tribe log. Accroding to ARK Patch Notes, huge performance gain may vary based on system configuration due to upgrading to the latest Unreal Rendering code. After changing your in game settings, be sure to restart your clients!

Originally developers were planning to release ARK 1.0 update for Xbox One as Play Anywhere on our launch day but that has now been pushed back until mid-September. If you own ARK on Xbox, you get the Windows 10 PC version as well as the Xbox One X version for free and you can play with all your Xbox friends from your PC or either console.

A NEW ARK Survival Evolved update today has confirmed that the full physical PS4 and Xbox One release date has been delayed, while the popular ARK Ragnarok mod has also been pushed back.

Studio Wildcard have now confirmed that the physical release of ARK Survival Evolved on PS4 and Xbox One has been officially delayed.
The game will still launch in August, however, much closer to the end of the month.
The reason given for the full release delay is that the certification process took longer than anticipated and means that ARK Survival Evolved will see its full release on August 29.
“Let's address the mammoth in the room. Official Release. As of today, ARK has completed its Gold Master and certification for retail release,” a statement from Studio Wildcard explains.
“This process took a little longer than expected and as a result, our release date has been pushed back to August the 29th.
“We're deeply apologetic for those who were negatively affected by the delay; it sucks, it wasn't what we had wanted, nor planned but where we currently stand.
“We wanted to address this sooner but did not want to make any statements until we were completely sure of what was going to happen.”

ARK Survival Evolved: Ragnarok launches August 29 for consoles [WILDCARD]
This has also pushed back the launch of the ARK Ragnarok mod, which was supposed to arrive in early August for PS4 and Xbox One players.
This is also being moved to August 29, which included the next major update being launched on PC.
“Ragnarok's new release date on console and upcoming PC update will now also be the 29th of August.
“This extended time will allow further development of the map and you guys can expect a gigantic update, even bigger than we initially thought.
“On the date of release, the overground of the world will increase by approximately one quarter, which is near-enough a 'TheIsland-sized' expansion; the update will feature new biomes, a coastal Wyvern canyon, an epic boss encounter, new engrams, and something secret the Ragnarok team are cooking up!
“We will also be adding their custom creatures to our main game, which will allow players to transfer them via the CrossARK system, so you'll be able to bring over your Ice Wyverns to The Island, The Center, and Scorched Earth.”
Following these developments, Studio Wildcard says they’ll be moving their focus back to multiplayer patches, which have been somewhat sidelined this month.

“First of all, there will be a lot of focus on PC Performance this month (don’t worry console-users, you’ll be receiving these updates too!).
“We will be porting over a lot of the improvements we made on console, as well as working with our industry partners to bring up that PC performance to get you the best possible experience.
Here are few areas of the game that will be getting immediate priority:
Multiplayer Bosses; let's face it, they're ridiculous, we know why and we're going to fix it. You'll soon be able to enter the boss arenas and fight bosses at reasonable difficulty, it'll still be a challenge, just no longer a monumental/near-impossible task.
The Baby-to-Juvie-Stasis issue; that's also getting fixed. For those not familiar, this is the problem where baby-creatures are entering stasis which (sort of) prevents them from ageing, and therefore they're not eating from troughs which result in death.
The Center & Under the Mesh; we're going to be implementing a technical solution to stop jerks from going under the map and raiding people. This one will take a little bit longer, but we'll have it in as soon as possible.

DLC for ARK with a new map and creatures.
Ragnarok was released on June 12, 2017 for the PC, Mac and Linux version of ARK, and for consoles on August 29, 2017. [1] Half of the map was finished at PC release date and 75% at console's release. The map is planned to be finished at the end of the year 2017 according to its developers.
Players in singleplayer mode on consoles have to complete the Ascension at level Beta to be able to access Ragnarok map. In order to access the map in singleplayer without Ascension, use cheat playercommand Ascend2 while in your singleplayer Island save.
Ragnarok adds several new creatures, such as the Ice Wyvern, Polar Bear, and Griffin, as well as 2 new dungeon bosses: the Ice Worm and the Lava Golem. It's a whole new map that boasts an expansive 144 sq. kilometer environment, an active volcano, species from DLC Scorched Earth, and higher than average spawn rates of Megalania and Ovis (creatures that are harder to find on other maps). The map is 99% complete. Chunks of the map will be incrementally released in later patches. On Ragnarok there are unique Beaver Dams; they are bigger and look more like beaver dams in real life. Beavers can live in the Dams, too.
Creatures tamed and items received on Official Ragnarok servers can be brought to the vanilla map The Island [2] , except Polar Bears.
Ragnarok is approximately 2.5x the size of The Island, in terms of land mass, and roughly 4x in total size. These calculations do not account for the significant, wide-ranging cave networks, and sizable dungeons.
