Remember Me Dev Working on New PS4, Xbox One RPG. Dontnod is hiring for a new RPG/ARPG. Last updated by Emanuel Maiberg on November 29, 2014 at 2:35PM. You are now subscribed. Remember Me developer Dontnod is working on a new role-playing game or action role-playing game for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, according to a recent job posting. A post to the developer's website links to a French jobs site, where Dontnod says it's looking for an experienced game/level designer with a strong RPG/ARPG background to work on a new project for the consoles. This is a separate project Life is Strange, which earlier this year Dontnod announced Square Enix will publish. Coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC, Life is Strange will be released digitally using an episodic model. Square Enix said that every new chapter will build and evolve on the choices you made in the last episode. GameSpot's review gave Remember Me a 7/10 in, finding that it had fun, fluid combat, constricted level design, and some camera issues. GameSpot's score also matches Remember Me's Metacritic average score, though a number of other reviews were less favorable. Remember Me 2 is 'Ready to be Made,' Says Developer. According to an interview with Siliconera, the sequel to Remember Me is "ready to be made," as the main story is already fleshed out. But while the game's concepts are apparently prepared, developer Dontnod says the next step is dependent upon publisher Capcom. "We know what we would do for Remember Me 2," said Dontnod creative director, Jean-Maxime Moris. "The main story has been written we know what we would add to the recipe. We know what we would fix. It’s a game that’s ready to be made, but that decision is Capcom’s to make." While 2013's Remember Me was obviously a very stylish game, and incorporated some unique gameplay concepts, the overall reception for the game was a bit lackluster. IGN's review noted repetitive gameplay and some bland platforming as negative aspects within an otherwise interesting world. Moris also noted Dontnod has "started the very early stages" of looking at a second season of the studio's episodic game, Life is Strange. by Joshua Bruce. In today’s world of Facebook status updates and incessant tweeting, we are going down a dangerous path. One that, if continued, could lead directly to the dystopian future that has been very effectively portrayed in Capcom’s newest IP - Remember Me. The year is 2084 and in this world memories have become the social commodity of choice. You can buy, sell, and trade your memories as you see fit, which has become a socio-cultural phenomenon that has penetrated every facet of society. Although it sounds harmless, memories can become an addiction for some, one that carries with it some serious side effects. Not the least of which is turning into a deformed memory fiend called a Leaper, the dirty little secret that everyone knows about but very few acknowledge. You play as Nilin, who was once considered the best memory hunter in the world. She has recently had her memory wiped by Memorize, an evil cooperation that is particularly terrified of Nilin’s unique abilities. Since most of her “rememberings” have been erased, you begin the game in a disoriented state, desperately trying to escape the Memorize Facility. However, with the help of Edge (a friend from your past) you are guided to safety in a short scripted escape, eventually landing you in the bowels of Slum 404, the seedy underbelly of Neo-Paris. This is where you first meet the Leapers. These twisted former humans draw a very distinct line between friend and foe, and, unfortunately, you are on the wrong side of it. This is also your first taste of combat and the introduction to the Combo Lab. The Combo Lab is Remember Me’s core character-development mechanic. Basically, as you fight off the hordes of Leapers and Neo-Paris’s security personnel, you gain PMP (Procedural Mastery Power) which acts as experience points to unlock the next Pressen (fighting ability) to add to your arsenal of attacks. Essentially, the idea here is that Nilin knew these abilities before, but fighting and performing combos for PMP unlock them in her memory, reminding her of her former badassery. The Combo Lab is an interesting concept. There are four basic Pressen types – Regen, Power, Cooldown, and Chain. Each adds a bonus of their respective type and can be used in any combo, as long as they match the specific button (X, Y, etc.) For instance, if you want a powerful attack combo, you would use as many Power Pressens as possible in your combo. But if you’re looking for more balance in your fight style, you can add Regen Pressens to recover health during combat, Chain Pressens to add bonus damage, or Cooldown Pressens to make your S-Pressens recover faster. S-Pressens are special moves/abilities that can turn a situation in your favor, and they require focus to use. Focus is akin to mana, and can be gained by successfully landing combos on your enemies. All of these character and combat mechanics force the player to focus on their combos, instead of just allowing the game to turn into a button masher, which it could have easily been. This sounds great, but the in-game execution of these tools during combat tends to keep your attention on your combo display, instead of on the action where it belongs. Sometimes, this can make for frustrating combat situations that take you out of the action. Another new feature of Remember Me’s original personality is the Memory Remix. Memory Remixes function as a mini-game, but have a lot more to offer than a typical in-game sidetrack. Basically, Nilin has the unique ability to enter another person’s SenSen (the memory interface located on the back of the neck) and change a key memory, thus altering the person’s perception of her or even the world as a whole. These sequences are an integral narrative tool within the story of the game. They contain information about character backstories and become progressively important to the events of the game as you proceed. They are pretty much an interactive cutscene that you have the ability to rewind or fast-forward, looking for key moments and items to interact with and change the outcome of the memory. While they are littered throughout the game, they are all scripted into the story at set points. I would have liked to have seen more flexibility with this particular feature, such as integration into the rest of the game and combat. Although, Remixes aren’t the only storytelling tool that Remember Me employs. A fully realized dystopian society is painted on the canvas of 2084 Neo-Paris. And Nilin’s journey through the bowels of the city to recover her personal memories, rediscover herself, and bring down Memorize in the process is a truly memorable (pun intended) experience. This story being told through memory recovery adds an interesting layer to gameplay as well. Instead of traversing a story where set events just happen and playing a generic character that is able to do x,y, and z – you take on the role of a character who is relearning her powers and her past, and as the pieces of the puzzle come together you begin to understand Nilin’s past and the story surrounding it. The citizens themselves have acquiesced to this surveillance society in exchange for the comfort only smart technology can provide. This memory economy transfers immense power over society to just a handful of people. Remember Me is a third-person action adventure in which players assume the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to penetrate people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and powers arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin embarks on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This game is a wonderful sci- fi creation set in Neo-Paris. It features an excellent story I will not spoil at all (because like Frank Costanza, I recommend going in entirely fresh). The potential buyer just needs to know that this is a wonderful game, that has been overlooked for being different something that should be applauded in this ever homogenised industry of sexism, mediocrity and first person shooters. A sad world where every developer seems to assume customers want a call of duty rehash. It's also good to see an intelligent female lead character. Something exciting and a bit different. Lack of Michael Bay-esque explosions and over the top set pieces aimed at 15 year old boys who can't read well, but enjoy shooting people from outside America in video games. ++++Puzzles (2 of them but worthy) - Some glitches and bugs. - Confusing combat combos menu. - Combos not really usefull except two maybe. I didn't even make a fourth combo. - Linear level design. And also, the remixing memories part and the couple riddles are always a welcome plus. xboxone. 2 995 пользователей находятся здесь. Search the indicated locations to find all 135 collectibles in the game (15 Focus Boosts, 40 Mnesist Memories, 25 SAT Patches, and 55 Scaramechs). Note: After finding a collectible, you must reach the next checkpoint for it to save the collectible. If you die, you will have to collect it again. If you miss a collectible entirely, you will have to replay the episode again to collect it. Easy "Dropping L-Bombs" achievement. You will unlock the Logic Bomb S-Pressen (special move) automatically while playing through the story. At the beginning of Episode 7, there will be a lot of enemies, which is a great location to get the "Dropping L-Bombs" achievement. Customize your longest combo, and incorporate as many Cooldown and Chain Pressen as possible (purple and blue buttons). After triggering the first bomb, quickly perform this combo to cool down your S-Pressen, then use it again. If you have obtained the Focus Boost collectibles, you should have at least one bonus Focus slot at this point in the game. This will allow you to trigger a new S-Pressen quickly, without having to attack a lot of enemies. Easy "Leader Of The Pack" achievement. In Episode 7, you must fight two Mourners at the same time. They will summon smaller enemies who fight for them (sidekicks). You cannot kill any of the small enemies or else you will not get the "Leader Of The Pack" achievement. However, attacking them is necessary. You need to power-up and use your Sensen DOS to make the Mourners vulnerable to your attacks. Before the fight, create a short combo with only Power and Chain Pressen. Use this combo against the Mourners to inflict a lot of damage quickly. You should also create a combo with Cooldown Pressen. Use it against the sidekicks to cool down your Sensen DOS. Keep doing this, and only attack one of the Mourners. If you accidentally kill one of the sidekicks, you can restart the checkpoint and try again. Easy "Out Of The Friend Zorn" achievement. You will encounter the first Zorn at the end of Episode 3. This enemy cannot be missed, as it is a mini-Boss. You can only damage it with your Spammer weapon. Keep shooting the Zorn's arms as quickly as possible. After both arms have been destroyed, the Zorn will start using shockwaves. Aim at the Zorn and evade the shockwaves, then shoot the glowing spot on its chest. Next, you will just need to complete a simple mini-game requiring you to press three random buttons at the correct time. Successfully complete the battle in under two minutes to get the "Out Of The Friend Zorn" achievement. Easy "Rust In Peace" achievement. Towards the end of Episode 6, you will reach a long corridor with a glowing, blue line in the the middle. This is after the room where you see Dr. Quaid and have to fight his henchmen and robots. As you progress through the corridor, you will see a damaged Zorn robot on the left. Simply shoot it to get the "Rust In Peace" achievement. Easy "The Wheat And The Chaff" achievement. In Episode 4, during the second part of the Boss fight against Madame (when she only has half of her health remaining), shoot Madame to make her vulnerable to your attacks. When she creates clones of herself, use the "Rust In Pieces" or "Sensen DOS" ability to reveal the real Madame, allowing you a few seconds to cause damage to her. You must also attack the normal enemies to power-up your special moves. Defeat Madame without hitting any of her clones to get "The Wheat And The Chaff" achievement. You will encounter the first Skinner in Episode 1, after climbing the wall with broken pipes, which is just a few minutes after the episode begins. Skinners are basically a larger version of the normal enemies you fight in the first episode. Stay as far away from the Skinner as possible. After a few seconds, he will run in your direction using the charge attack. Evade his attack five times in a row by pressing A to get the "You Missed Me" achievement. Accomplish the indicated achievement to get the corresponding number of Gamerscore points: Script Kiddie (10 points): Finish the game in Script Kiddie Mode. Errorist Agent (20 points): Finish the game in Errorist Agent Mode. MemHunter Elite (50 points): Finish the game in Memory Hunter Mode.
