Rise of the tomb raider dlc xbox one

This page details all available DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider. In addition to individual packs, items marked with an asterisk (*) are included in the Season Pass. The 20 Year Celebration Edition includes all DLC. If you purchased the Season Pass on Xbox One and are having difficulty accessing content, try this: Navigate to the Games Store on your console. Search for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Select the Rise of the Tomb Raider Season Pass. Then select Manage. The next screen will show installed content and items ready to install. Select "Ready To Install" and follow the on-screen prompts. Once the DLC is actually installed, you should be able to access it in-game. In the PC version , open your Steam Library, right-click Rise of the Tomb Raider, choose Properties from the pop-up menu, and then click the DLC tab. You can then check or un-check the DLC you would like to install/uninstall. Next time you run the game, it should download and install the necessary files. If there's a trick to installing PS4 content , I hope someone will let me know, since I don't own that system. LARA'S OUTFITS are covered in more detail on the separate Outfits page. Weapons are covered on (you guessed it!) the Weapons page. Endurance Mode* This DLC adds a new Expedition mode centered on survival. In addition to countless hours of gameplay—thanks to procedurally generated levels and numerous challenges—Endurance Mode also includes the Pioneer outfit, Vintage Pickaxe (climbing axe skin), Endurance Card Pack (20 permanent foil cards), plus a separate set of achievements/trophies. Synopsis: Alone in the wild, Lara must scrounge, scavenge, craft, and survive the harsh elements, as well as lethal threats from enemies, both man and beast. This is her ultimate woman-versus-wild test to push the limits of how long she can survive on her own in sprawling, unforgiving landscapes. Fire takes fuel, cold kills the unprepared, food restores health, but everything must be caught, collected, or crafted. You start with nothing and must find everything. Challenge friends to the longest survival run and battle to the top of the leaderboards for the title of Ultimate Survivor. Originally released December 29, 2015. Follow this link for JHNMCHLTNR's Endurance Mode walkthrough. Co-Op Endurance Mode will be introduced in conjunction with the launch of the 20 Year Celebration edition for PS4 October 11, 2016. It will also be included as part of the Season Pass for Xbox One and PC. Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch* This story-based DLC adds several hours of gameplay. It also includes the Wraithskin outfit and Dreamstinger bow, the Baba Yaga Card Pack (4 permanent foil cards), plus achievements/trophies. Synopsis: Deep in the wilds of Siberia lies a forest that no man will enter, where a Soviet expedition vanished without a trace. Lara enters the Wicked Vale in search of a missing man, but she finds a nightmare that defies explanation. Is the witch, Baba Yaga, haunting the forest? Or is there more to the myth? You can play this DLC any time after completing the Gulag section of Soviet Installation in the main story. At that point, make your way to the old sawmill near the logging camp. Activate Survival Instinct and you'll see a pink marker with a cow's skull marking the start of the Baba Yaga mission. (screenshot) Originally released January 26, 2016. Here's my Baba Yaga walkthrough. Cold Darkness Awakened* This DLC is more action-oriented but does include some story and puzzle elements. It is accessed through the Expeditions section of the main menu. The Ushanka outfit, Voidhammer shotgun, and Cold Darkness Card pack (15 permanent foil cards) are unlocked gradually as you beat challenges. There's also a separate set of achievements/trophies. Synopsis: Decommissioned during the Cold War, a dormant weapons research base has been breached, unleashing a mysterious affliction into the Siberian wilderness that transforms men into blood-thirsty, mindless killers. Lara must overcome increasingly dangerous waves of these infected adversaries while scavenging their equipment and crafting additional gear on the fly, in kill or be killed survival-combat.В. Originally released March 29, 2016. Follow this link for Treeble's Cold Darkness walkthrough. 20 Year Celebration Pack* This pack is not available on Xbox 360 . It is actually multiple content packs in one: Croft Manor includes the story-based "Blood Ties" add-on and "Lara's Nightmare," a new Expedition mode in which Lara defends her ancestral home against hordes of undead. This DLC is unlocked once you reach the Siberian Wilderness level in the main game. You can then select 'Croft Manor' m the main menu and choose Blood Ties or Lara's Nightmare. Extreme Survivor adds an additional, even more challenging difficulty setting, which you can select when starting a new game. A Classic Skins pack includes 5 skins from the original Core Design games, plus a modern outfit and weapon inspired by Lara's TR3 Antarctica outfit. The Antarctica outfit and Hailstorm handgun are available during the main campaign. The others are unlocked when you finish the story. The 20 Year Celebration Card Pack adds 40(?) Expedition Cards, including permanent cards so you can equip the above outfits and weapon during Expeditions, such as Chapter Replay, as many times as you like. (More about Expedition Cards below.) Co-op Endurance Mode expands the existing Endurance Mode content so you can play online with a friend. This content was released October 11, 2016. It is included along with all the other DLC in the 20 Year Celebration edition. It is also part of the Season Pass for PC and Xbox One, and it can be purchased separately as the 20 Year Celebration DLC pack on Steam or Xbox LIVE. Outfit and Card Packs. Cards can only be used while playing Expeditions, the extra game modes accessed through the Expeditions section in the main menu. Cards cannot be used during the main campaign. In addition to the special cards included in the major DLC and outfit packs listed above, you can buy the following generic card packs through the Marketplace section of the main menu: Bronze Pack – Contains 5 random cards. Silver Pack – Contains 5 random cards, one of which is guaranteed to be uncommon. Gold Pack – Contains 5 random cards, one of which is guaranteed to be rare. Platinum Pack – Contains 15 random cards, four of which are guaranteed to be rare. Diamond Pack – Contains 30 random cards, eight of which are guaranteed to be rare. Advantage Pack – Contains 5 cards which will give Lara an advantage. Note that cards that make gameplay easier usually also decrease your overall score. Challenge Pack – Contains 5 Expedition Cards which will inflict a restriction on Lara or make gameplay more difficult and thus increase your score. Wild Pack – Contains 5 Expedition Cards chosen from among the strangest cards in the collection. There are also several ways of obtaining cards without spending money : As you play through the story, you will earn Expedition Credits , which can then be exchanged for card packs in the MARKETPLACE section of the main menu. Credits are awarded for things like raiding challenge tombs and crypts, and completing challenges and missions. You earn credits for finding backpacks left behind in the game where players on your Steam/Xbox/PSN friends list have died. (screenshot) Card packs are awarded at six in-game milestones. To avoid spoilers, I won't list these here, but all are mentioned in the walkthrough. You can unlock special card packs by beating challenges in various Expeditions. These are listed on the Wikiraider page linked below . The walkthrough includes notes on each major Expedition Credit and Card Pack award. For a complete list of individual cards and card packs, visit Wikiraider's Expedition Cards page. † UPDATE HISTORY: 9/14/16 - Page first posted online. 10/11/16 - Added details about the 20 Year Celebration DLC. 11/26/16 - Added Platinum and Diamond card packs. You may have seen we’ve announced new content is coming for Rise of the Tomb Raider . We’re celebrating 20 years of the iconic Lara Croft, and as part of this we’re excited to bring new gameplay to our Xbox One and PC fans. First, we’re adding “Blood Ties,” a completely new story chapter in which you’ll explore Croft Manor to reclaim Lara’s legacy. Then, you must defend the Manor against a zombie invasion in “Lara’s Nightmare.” We’ve also added the new “Extreme Survivor” difficulty setting, a 20 Year Celebration outfit and weapon, the ability to play as classic Lara models in the Expedition modes, and more. One of the biggest new additions is all-new Co-op play for Endurance mode. We released Endurance mode for Rise of the Tomb Raider in December 2015. Since then, we’ve been thrilled to watch as you have hunted, foraged, and raided your way through over 600,000 game days of survival. You’ve embraced the open nature of our Siberian Wilderness and the challenge of a constantly changing forest landscape. We’re happy to announce that on October 11 th you will no longer have to survive on your own! Co-op Endurance offers all the challenges of the current mode, and lets you team up with a friend to raid tombs in an unforgiving environment. Lara and Nadia will have to hunt in order to stave off hunger, find wood to light camp fires so they can stay warm, and survive deadly traps in crypts to find the artifacts before Trinity. You can choose to stick together and share resources, or split up to cover ground more quickly. Just don’t get too far away or you won’t be able to help out your friend in time if they run into trouble, which they most certainly will. What’s even better is that Co-op is a free upgrade to everyone who has purchased Endurance as a standalone DLC, or received it as part of the Season pass. In fact, if you already own the Season Pass, you’ll receive all of the new 20 Year Celebration content on Xbox One and PC for free. We’re looking forward to sharing more details on the Co-op Endurance mode, as well as all of the new content coming to Rise of the Tomb Raider on October 11 th as part of our 20 Year Celebration. Rise of the tomb raider dlc xbox one

This DLC is part of the Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration edition. If you already own the original version of the game on PC or Xbox One, you can get this DLC as part of the Season Pass or by purchasing the 20 Year Celebration pack. If you're having trouble activating the DLC , see here. You can play this DLC any time after reaching the Siberian Wilderness level in the main story. To access the new content, choose Croft Manor from the main menu. Then choose New Story - Blood Ties. (New Expedition - Lara's Nightmare will be covered in a separate section.) Both PlayStation VR and SteamVR include support for Blood Ties. You can't save your game during Croft Manor except via the autosave. If you quit and return later, the game should allow you to continue from where you left off. As far as I know, there are no known issues, but you can always refer to the Rise of the Tomb Raider Master Bug Post on the Square Enix forums if you run into trouble. BLOOD TIES (CROFT MANOR) DLC. NOTE: The in-game map is upside down . Lara refers to the wing with her mother's bedroom and atelier as the "west wing," but it's on the right side of the map. So that means east is left, north is down, and south is up on the map. SECRETS OF THE PAST. OBJECTIVE: Open Lord Croft's Safe. During the initial cutscene Lara reads a letter from her uncle ordering her to vacate the manor unless she can find legal proof to support her claim of ownership. This counts as document #1 . To streamline the walkthrough, all documents and relics are listed in a table at the end of the walkthrough in the same order in which they appear in the in-game Document and Relic viewers. Since most are not difficult to find, especially using Survival Instinct, this should make it easier to zero in on any you may have missed the first time. Also, the objectives are updated more frequently than I have listed. I've just included the major goals. Check the in-game map screen if you forget your current objective. RICHARD CROFT'S STUDY: Lara notices the locked wall safe . The first major puzzle is to piece together the combination for the safe by examining various documents and relics. While you're here, pick up the following collectibles: Relic #1 – A photo of little Lara on Richard Croft's desk. (screenshot) Document #2 – An audio recording from Richard's diary also on the desk. (screenshot) Relic #2 – Richard's framed diploma sitting on the small table near the window behind the desk. (screenshot) Relic #3 – A photo of Lara, Richard, and Ana sitting on a shelf on the right side of the room when facing the exit. (screenshot) Relic #4 – A carved marble bust sitting on a small table near the previous photo. (screenshot) Relic #5 - An African mask stored in a cabinet to the left of the carved bust. (screenshot) Document #3 - One of Amelia Croft's journals, sitting on the coffee table in the middle of the room. (screenshot) Relic #6 - A map of Syria spread out on the drafting table on the left side of the room. (screenshot) Relic #7 - A copy of Richard's book stored in a cabinet to the right of the drafting table. (screenshot) OBJECTIVE: Find an Alternate Route to the Library. CORRIDOR TO STUDY: Exit the study into the adjacent corridor. The door on the left leads to the LIBRARY, but it's locked. You'll need to find another way in. Examine relic #8 , a hand-drawn map Lara made as a child, sitting on the boxes on the right side of the corridor. (screenshot) This map provides a clue to help you reach the LIBRARY. The entrance to the SERVANTS' PASSAGES is just ahead on the right, but if you try to enter, Lara says it's too dark. You'll need to find a flashlight before you can explore here. For now, let's go after a few more pickups. Relic #9 , an Ankh from Richard's collection, is in a glass case opposite the servants' entrance. (screenshot) Continue to the end of the corridor and enter the next room. EAST WING SITTING ROOM : Pick up document #4 , a note from Lara to her dad, on the red leather chair near the fireplace and document #5 on the coffee table near the open laptop. Then examine the suit of armor in the corner by the door. This actually counts as mural #1 . (screenshot) There is also an entry about it under Documents, but the Suits of Armor series is not counted toward the 40-document total. Continue through the doorway near the suit of armor. MAIN HALL UPPER LEVEL: Head to the left along the upper level. Open the lacquered cabinet to find relic #10 , a Phoenix Figurine. (screenshot) Continue along the upper level to the far corner, where you'll find relic #11 , a cigarette case sitting on a windowsill. (screenshot) There's also a locked trunk . Later, you'll find the key to open it. As you continue around the upper level, Lara remembers an incident in which her father warned her away from the WEST WING, where her mother's rooms had been. These doors are locked, but again, we'll find the key shortly. Descend the main staircase. MAIN HALL LOWER LEVEL: There are several items to collect here. As you come down the main staircase, you'll see another leather-bound diary on the table by the hearth. This is document #6 , one of Amelia's diary entries. In the main entryway, on the far side of the room, is a box containing a FLASHLIGHT . This also counts as relic #12 , part of the "Gear" set. (screenshot) When you retrieve the flashlight, Lara attaches it to her lapel. She'll automatically turn it on when necessary, so you're ready to explore that dark passageway. But first make a few more pickups. On the table opposite the box that held the flashlight, pick up Lara's phone to hear document #7 , a message to Jonah. (screenshot) Just around the corner, on a shelf near a desiccated potted palm, is document #8 another letter from Atlas de Mornay, and relic #13 , an Ouroboros amulet in a glass case. (screenshot) Finally head for the alcove to the left of the staircase, near the rubble-strewn hole in the floor to find another ancestor's bust sitting in an alcove. This is relic #14 . (screenshot) There's nothing more we can do here now, so climb the stairs and head to the right, back into the EAST WING SITTING ROOM and the CORRIDOR TO THE STUDY. Go through the door on the right, just before the study. If you activate Survival Instinct, you'll notice it's marked with a child's handprints. (screenshot) Now that Lara has the FLASHLIGHT, you'll be able to see where you're going. NOTE: Unless you actually examined relic #8, Lara's map, you will not be able to open the hidden door to the servants' passages. Objective: Use the Servants' Passages to Reach the Library. SERVANTS' PASSAGES: Behind the door is document #9 a letter from Lara's uncle to her mother. (screenshot) Go down the stairs. At the bottom, retrieve document #10 , one of Richard Croft's audio recordings. (screenshot) The door next to this document doesn't open yet, so continue down to the basement. At the bottom of the stairs, sitting on a wooden crate, is document #11 another letter from Atlas to Amelia. (screenshot) WINE CELLAR: Enter the dank cellar lined with shelves of old bottles. Pass by the rolling cart for now and continue to the end of the main isle, where you'll find document #12 , a note from Winston to Lara's father, sitting on a wooden table near a green chair. (screenshot) Turn around and head back the way you came. Grab the rolling cart and push it out of the way. Then move through the gap between the shelves on the left. (screenshot) Ahead on the right is the servants' dining table. After a brief flashback, examine relic #15 , the chessboard Lara and Winston used to use. (screenshot) You'll need to find a CROWBAR in order to open the 2 metal lockers here. Turn around and head back down this aisle. Just ahead on the left, is another of Amelia's journals, document #13 , and a little farther along, on one of the wooden shelves, is document #14 written by Winston. (screenshot) Go through the gap between the wooden crates and shelves that held the last two documents. Turn right and continue to the end of the aisle. Pull another rolling cart out of the way. Go around behind it and pull the next rolling cart to clear the doorway. Go back around to the other side of the shelves, turn left, and continue through the doorway that was previously blocked by the cart. (screenshot) Just beyond the doorway is relic #16 , a crystal decanter. (screenshot) BASEMENT TUNNELS: Proceed forward through a low tunnel. At the first bend, you'll spot a relic behind the fence on the left. You can't reach it from here, but you'll approach it from behind shortly. Continue through a section with rusty water on the floor and old iron pipes lining the walls and ceiling. Turn left at the painted wooden bird figure. (screenshot) Proceed straight ahead, keeping the long basement wall on your right, until you come to the far corner. Turn left here, then right, then left again, still walking through the rusty water. As you step out of the water onto the earthen floor, go around the wooden barrier to the back right corner to find relic #17 , Lara's mummified teddy bear in its tiny sarcophagus. (screenshot) Turn around and leave this alcove, heading toward the back right corner of the basement when facing away from the box where you found the bear mummy. Watch out for the "deadly trap" laid out ahead. A yellow plastic box suspended from the ceiling with a rope snare below. In the middle of the snare is relic #18 , a Trap Mechanism crafted by Winston. (screenshot) Continue around to the right into a part of the tunnel lined with collapsed brickwork. A little farther on, you emerge into a dry section of the basement. There's a metal door on the left, but it is just for decoration. It won't open even when you find a key. Squeeze through the gap between the piled-up wooden crates. (screenshot) Then immediately make a U-turn to the left (screenshot) to find relic #19 , the Anubis bust you glimpsed through the fence earlier. (screenshot) Go back the way you came and continue forward past the electrical breaker box and another metal locker you can't open yet. Climb the ladder to the floor above. (screenshot) Before entering the LIBRARY, examine relic #20 , a set of renovation plans, and document #15 , one of Lord Croft's journals. Then push through the door marked with young Lara's handprints. (screenshot) OBJECTIVE: Search for the Combination in the Library. LIBRARY: The secret panel you just came through closes behind you as you enter the LIBRARY, leaving only a wall of bookshelves. First, head to the right and activate the gramophone to hear a nostalgic track from Tomb Raider 2 . Examine the suit of armor, at the west end of the room. This counts as mural #2 . (screenshot) It also unlocks one of the Suits of Armor documents, but this is not counted toward the total. There are a number of other collectibles in this room. Document #16 - One of Amelia's journals, on a rolling cart just ahead. (screenshot) Document #17 - A recording from Lara's father, sitting on a small table near the rolling cart and the secret entrance in the bookshelves. (screenshot) Document #18 - A note Richard penned to himself titled "Clues," sitting on a box next to the desk. This is one of the Safe Combination Clues . (screenshot) Relic #21 - In a metal box underneath document #19 you'll find the LIGHTER , an important piece of gear. (screenshot) Document #19 - Another of Richard's diary recordings, on the corner of his desk. (screenshot) Relic #22 - A drawing of a tiger Lara did when she was little, on the window seat next to a toy dinosaur and helicopter. (screenshot) Relic #23 - Young Lara's hieroglyphics worksheet, Sitting on a table on the east side of the room. This is also a clue a Safe Combination Clue . (screenshot) Relic #24 - Underneath the worksheet you'll find an elaborately bound book about hieroglyphs from Richard's collection. (screenshot) Relic #25 - On the table opposite the last two items is a note from Winston to Lara. (screenshot) Relic #26 - An old photograph taken in the library. (screenshot) On the southwest side of the library there's a rolling ladder that will enable you to access the upper level. (screenshot) Pull it to the left and climb up. Turn right and pull the rolling cart out of the way. Then climb back down, push the ladder back into its original position, and climb back up again. With the cart out of the way, you can now can make your way around the far side of the upper level. Here you'll find relic #27 , another of Lara's childhood Expedition Maps, sitting on top of a locked chest . (screenshot) Climb or jump down to the floor. Stand near the fireplace and hold Interact to use the LIGHTER to light the fire. (screenshot) Then press Interact again to hold the map you just found up to the fire. This activates the invisible ink so you can see the complete map. The revealed map counts as a separate relic #28 . Objective: Use the Treasure Map to Find the Master Key. Turn around to and approach the chest near the bookshelves. Now that you've deciphered the map, this chest moves. (screenshot) Push it aside to find a metal box underneath. Open it to find relic #29 , the MASTER KEY , which will allow you to open the locked doors and chests throughout the manor. Use the rolling library ladder to climb back to the upper level. Go around to the right and use the key to open the chest upon which the expedition map was resting. (screenshot) Inside is relic #30 , Lara's homemade Egyptian crown. This is one of the Safe Combination Clues . (screenshot) Objective: Search for the Remaining Combination Clues in the Atelier and Master Bedroom. Use the Master Key to unlock the door to the left of the chest where you found the crown. (screenshot) This leads back into the EAST WING CORRIDOR near the LIBRARY. Head to the left to get back to the MAIN HALL. MAIN HALL UPPER LEVEL (again): Go around the to the southwest corner of the upper level, where you found Ana's Cigarette Case (relic #11) earlier. Now that you have the key you can unlock the chest here to find relic #31 , the Croft Family Crest. (screenshot) Now head for the northwest corner, unlock the doors here, and enter the forbidden wing. (screenshot) WEST WING RUINED CORRIDOR: A fallen tree has smashed though the wall here. The place is a mess, but when has a little chaos ever stopped Lara? The master bedroom is straight ahead. The atelier is off to the right. It doesn't matter which you explore first. MASTER BEDROOM: In the corridor leading to the bedroom, there's a wooden cabinet containing document #20 , another of Richard's recorded journals. (screenshot) Unlock the doors at the end of this corridor and enter the bedroom, where you'll find several collectibles. Document #21 - One of Amelia's journals, sitting on the footstool at the end of the bed. This contains one of the Safe Combination Clues . (screenshot) Document #22 - Another of Richard's recordings in the cabinet to the left of the bed. (screenshot) Document #23 - Another of Richard's recordings in the armoire to the left of the bed. (screenshot) Relic #32 - Amelia's wedding ring, sitting on the bed. (screenshot) Relic #33 - Amelia's perfume bottle, on the dressing table. (screenshot) Relic #34 - A photo of Amelia on her wedding day, on a cloth-draped box to the left of the dressing table. (screenshot) Relic #35 - On the bedside table is a small box containing a necklace given to Lara's mother by her father as a birthday gift. This item is another Safe Combination Clue . (screenshot) Relic #36 - A carved bust of Richard Croft sits on a table opposite the fireplace. (screenshot) Relic #37 - Richard's pocket watch is on the carved wooden chest nearby. (screenshot) When you have everything here, return the way you came. Turn left just before the fallen tree and follow the other corridor toward the Atelier. (screenshot) Just before the doors to Amelia Croft's studio, there's a cabinet containing document #24 , a letter from Winston to Lord Croft. (screenshot) AMELIA'S ATELIER: Inside the studio are several of Lara's mothers paintings as well as a number of collectibles. Document #25 - Another of Amelia's journals, just inside on the left. (screenshot) Document #26 - Another journal entry on the shelf near Amelia's painting of her husband. This is one of the Safe Combination Clues . (screenshot) Document #27 - The paintings themselves also count as a document, rather than a relic, for some reason. One of them points to the Safe Combination Clues . (screenshot) Relic #38 - One of two framed photos near the large painting of the curved glass buildings. (screenshot) Relic #39 - The other photo in that same area. (screenshot) Relic #40 - Climb the ladder to the upper level and unlock the chest on the left to find an art gallery pamphlet featuring Amelia's work. (screenshot) Document #28 - This entry from Amelia's diary is at the top of the ladder on the right. (screenshot) If you like, you can go into the adjacent MUSIC ALCOVE for a little flashback, but there are no documents or relics there. (screenshot) OBJECTIVE: Return to the Study to open Lord Croft's safe. When you have everything here, follow the corridors back to the MAIN HALL and cross over to the opposite side of the UPPER LEVEL. Then continue through the SITTING ROOM and CORRIDOR back to the LIBRARY. (screenshot) LIBRARY - OPENING THE SAFE: You should now have all the necessary clues to open the safe. There are seven in all, 4 documents and 3 relics. If you're missing any of them, check the lists below and walkthrough above. Now to piece together the clues. According to Richard's note titled "Clues" (document #20), the three digits of the combination correspond to Lara's expedition treasure, his favorite painting by Amelia, and the day of their wedding anniversary. For the first clue, examine Lara's Egyptian crown (relic #30) and notice the hieroglyph of the two birds. This corresponds to the number 5 on the Hieroglyphics worksheet (relic #23). So the first digit is 5. Richard's note associates the second digit with his favorite painting by Amelia. In her diary entry titled "Moving In" (document #28), she mentions that Richard liked the picture with the blocks of red. Reviewing that painting (document #27), we see there are 4 red blocks, so the second digit is 4. The clue to the third digit is Richard and Amelia's wedding anniversary. From the necklace found in the bedroom (relic #35), we learned her birthday was October 13. Her diary entry "An Unlikely Union" (document #24) says that they were married 4 days before her birthday. So the third digit would be 9. Approach the locked safe and press Interact . (screenshot) Then enter the three digits: 5-4-9 to open it. There are several objects inside: Relic #41 - Lara's handprint cast in clay. Document #29 - Another entry from Richard's diary. Relic #42 - A manuscript handwritten by Lara's father. Relic #43 - A blank letter with accordion folds. This is one of the Final Puzzle clues . SECRETS OF THE PAST. OBJECTIVE: Solve the Mystery of the Blank Letter. To decipher the mysterious blank letter, return through the CORRIDOR and SITTING ROOM to the MAIN HALL and descend to the LOWER LEVEL . If you haven't already lit the fireplace there, do so now. Then press Interact to hold the letter up to the fire, revealing the previously hidden markings. One side shows a map of sorts. (screenshot) The other has mysterious markings which, when you rotate the paper just so, resolve into hieroglyphs. (screenshot) The blank letter revealed counts as relic #44 , also one of the Final Puzzle clues . (screenshot) If you then compare the glyphs to the ones on Lara's worksheet (relic #23), you'll find they represent the numbers 1-4-2 (which also happens to be Lara's birthday, February 14). To use this combination, head for the SERVANTS' PASSAGES. To get there from the MAIN HALL, unlock the doors in the northeast corner, to the right of the main staircase when facing it, and enter the corridor beyond. (screenshot) EAST WING LOWER LEVEL CORRIDOR: Directly ahead is document #30 , a note from Winston to Lara, sitting on a metal cart. (screenshot) Pass by the door on the right, opposite the cart. This leads back into the LIBRARY. Instead, unlock the next door on the left to get back into the SERVANTS' PASSAGES . Go down the stairs to the WINE CELLAR, continue about halfway along the racks until you can move through a gap between the shelves on the right. (screenshot) Make a U-turn to the right and then head for the far left corner of the room. There's a movable shelf here that you can spot easily using Survival Instinct. (screenshot) Push this shelf to reveal another keypad and then enter the digits you deciphered earlier: 1-4-2. This opens a secret door nearby. (screenshot) OBJECTIVE: Search Lard Croft's Secret Vault for Clues. LORD CROFT'S SECRET VAULT: The door closes behind you as you follow the hallway to the vault. Inside there are a number of collectibles to retrieve. Document #31 - Another entry from Richard's diary in the cabinet just inside on the left. (screenshot) Relic #45 - The missing page from the renovation blueprints you found earlier, sitting on the counter in the far left corner. (screenshot) Document #32 - One of Amelia's journal entries, on the bookshelf to the right of the counter with the blueprints. (screenshot) Relic #46 - A jade dragon statue on the worktable in the middle of the room. (screenshot) Relic #47 - A Tibetan scroll, also on the center table. (screenshot) Document #33 - Another of Richard's recorded diary entries, also on the center table. (screenshot) Relic #48 - The CROWBAR , in a metal box also on the worktable. (screenshot) Relic #49 - Lord Croft's Codex, an elaborately bound book with the family crest on the front, sitting on the counter below the whiteboard with the grid lines. (screenshot) Document #34 - A letter from Atlas de Mornay to Richard Croft, on the counter near the codex. (screenshot) Relic #50 - A sun-shaped plaque recessed into the wall in the corner farthest from the entrance. This is one of the Final Puzzle clues . (screenshot) Once you have the CROWBAR (above) you can use it to pry the plaque out of the wall. Then use it again to break through the wall so you can get out. (screenshot) If you use the light switch next to the Sun-Shaped Plaque, the room is bathed in black light revealing more of Richard's notes and calculations. Unfortunately this doesn't figure in any puzzles, but it is a nice, paranoid touch. OBJECTIVE: Solve the Riddle of the Sun Shaped Plaque. BASEMENT TUNNELS (again): When you break through the wall of the vault, you emerge in the tunnels below the LIBRARY. Use the crowbar you just found to pry open the metal locker here to find document #35 , a letter from Lara to her dad. (screenshot) There's another locker back in the area with the servant's dinner table, where you found the chessboard (relic #15) earlier. You can get there through the tunnels or by climbing the ladder shown in the previous screenshot to reach the LIBRARY. Then exit through the door near the suit of armor, go through the door ahead on the right into the SERVANTS' PASSAGES, and descend the stairs to the BASEMENT. Then head for the southeast corner of the WINE CELLAR to find the servants' dining area and 2 metal lockers , one of which contains document #36 , Winston's thoughts on the sealing of the west wing. (screenshot) MAIN HALL LOWER LEVEL (again): Return upstairs to the MAIN HALL and place the sun-shaped plaque into the recess in the center of the floor. This points the way to the CRYPT. (screenshot) Climb the stairs to the landing and press Interact to break down the wall with the crowbar. (screenshot) OBJECTIVE: Investigate the Croft Family Crypt. CRYPT: Follow the stairs downward. Just before the main chamber on the left you'll find document #37 , the last of Lord Croft's recorded journals, sitting in a little alcove. (screenshot) As you enter the crypt, go down the stairs on the right to find relic #51 , a golden rose, sitting on a pedestal in the corner. (screenshot) Finally, approach the sarcophagus and read document #38 , Amelia's final letter to her daughter. (screenshot) MAIN HALL: After the cutscene and a brief credits sequence, we flash forward a few days. Lara discovers a letter near the entryway. This is document #39 , a letter from her uncle relinquishing his claim on the manor. (screenshot) Hurrah! Job well done! As you explore further, Lara talks to herself about how this experience has altered her feelings about the manor. There's no physical item to find, but this is document #40 , titled "Reconciliation." If you have already finished the main game (i.e., beaten the final boss, watched the end-game cutscenes, and returned to the Geothermal Valley), you'll find relics #52 , #53 , and #54 , several of Lara's own prized possessions, waiting for you upstairs in the STUDY. (screenshot) If you have not yet beaten the game , exit to the main menu and continue playing through the main storyline. Later, when you've beaten the game, return to Lara's home (choose Croft Manor from the main menu, then Continue Story - Blood Ties) and head back to the STUDY to collect the last 3 relics . If you fulfill all campaign objectives (challenges, tombs, ruins, etc), you're looking at around 40 hours of gameplay on Adventurer difficulty setting. Very user friendly to new players to the series - no knowledge of backstory necessary. The game story is great and well thought out. Only complaints I had were: the tomb puzzles weren't exceptionally challenging. Interesting, but nothing that blew my mind. And pathing is pretty much corridor driven with highlighted hinting system, which I found odd for a puzzle game (I'm a first-time TR player). They definitely catered to the masses in these regards. I was also surprised how much first person shooter aspects were built into the system, but they made it work. Besides that, if you're into TR games or enjoy story-driven adventure puzzle games with a healthy dose of shooter, I highly recommend. 275 out of 281 people found this helpful. great game. great series. i loved the first game in the series and this one is amazing too. smooth controls great graphics. excellent cinematics. i like the upgrades and crafting ..only knock is the shop prices are way too high and u rarely even are in the area. also not a fan of the increasing amount. of armor the enemies have as u progress. definitely worth getting. 67 out of 71 people found this helpful. Fantastic addition to the franchise! When I first saw the trailer for this at E3 last year, I knew it would be good. I picked up its prequel a month later and loved it. Rise of the Tomb Raider is a 100% improvement to an already amazing franchise. Story is intriguing, game play is just as good as Tomb Raider (2013), there's even more emphasis on raiding tombs in RotR. I still replay it 8 months later. The only things I don't like are the expeditions, and how they use the challenge cards, and the way you use special ammo. Firing 75 rounds from a 1911 without reloading is a bit ridiculous, but that's just minor nitpicking. I wish I could rate it higher than just 5 stars, and I can't wait for next one! 53 out of 56 people found this helpful. I literally couldn't put this game down when I started it. AMAZING graphics and even better game play. The story line is very detailed. One game made perfectly. From start to finish. The season pass is truly worth it because you get so much more content. 46 out of 48 people found this helpful. SPECTACULAR SEQUEL. This is a phemonal impovement over the otherwise fantastic first Tomb Raider(2013). Everything from the enviroment, story, weapons, collectibles; to Lara Croft herself has been an improved and expanded on. You really feel as if you are Lara on this journey to find something that is greater than herself. Secret Tombs in this game are on a much "Grander" scale and pose more of a challenge than the previous. Even the collectibles(relics and documents) have an actual intresting backstory, detailing the thoughts and events of it's owner; during earlier times. Lara skills as an Explorer/Survivor/Fighter have been upgraded and now she can do more than ever; like crafting a can and resoucrces to make a *shrapnel bomb". Weapons also have a "deeper" upgrading system and you can build other weapons by finding its parts in weapon crates placed around the map. Rise of the Tomb Raider is what every sequel should and it's a great addition to this franchise. WATCH OUT FOR WOLVES! LOL. 21 out of 21 people found this helpful. nitti the N4CER. Tomb Raider Rises. The new direction of theTR series is brilliant. The new-gen games are fun to play(combat&exploring).Story is well told, I like how the super-natural element, while at the core of the story, doesn't dominate the gameplay, except w/ the dlc & some of Lara's jumps. Petty grievances aside, TR delivers on all levels. I would love to have Lara have options when investigating a tomb or site. Maybe I'm over-reaching here, but it seems to discover anything u have to play the main story or figure out the ONE and ONLY path to it. I think it'd be cool if we could follow different leads from local villagers, find different clues, creating alternate paths to the objective. In essence, makeTR more open-world. 81 out of 92 people found this helpful. Pure Action-Adventure! This was everything i'd hoped for in a sequel. & more! Plus, i found all 3 of the DLC's to be quite enjoyable. If u liked Tomb Raider, u won't be disappointed with ROTR! Can't wait to play pt. 3. 29 out of 32 people found this helpful. Tomb Raider does it again! As a huge fan of Tomb Raider I was a bit confused on the new direction for the series, but after pouring several pulse pounding hours into this cinematic thrill ride I was left both satisfied and craving more! Me and my wifes son adore Laura's new design seeing as how it really resonated with us. I hated her old mysogynistic aesthic. If you like Uncharted© then you'll love this. The best part though is that I don't even have to play the game myself! Every five steps you take a cutscene will automatically play itself out as Laura runs and screams "AHHHHHHHHHHWWWWW" as explosions and debris engulf her. Rise of the Tomb Raider shows that video games as an entertainment medium can become true works of art. 150 out of 181 people found this helpful. 5 Star Action Game,3 Star Tomb Raider. Rise of the Tomb Raider is a massive leap forward from Tomb Raider (2013) in all areas. It takes the combat, exploration, and story and improves it greatly. The game boasts the beautiful, deadly environments and deep, strategic combat,it still lacks a true Tomb Raider feeling. The combat is intense and offers a variety of ways to fight. Lara has many different weapons to choose from, allowing a multitude of ways to approach combat. Outside of battles the areas are large and full of discoveries, but not so deadly. Lara actions are too automated and does not offer the challenging, yet rewarding traversal Tomb Raider is known for. She can reach across any size of gap without a run up due to magnetic grabs, balance beams are impossible to fall off of,rope swings are steered automatically, and the traps are painfully easy to avoid. Ledges and walls are painted wait so players don't get lost, and Lara gives too many hints. It is a fun game overall but lacking in a challenge outside of combat. 198 out of 245 people found this helpful. Made My Top 10 Games Of All Time. Rise Of The Tomb Raider was one of the reason's I picked up an Xbox One. And it did not disappoint. This is, by far, the best Tomb Raider in the franchise. The game is visually stunning. Everything from the mountain peaks to Lara's hair is so beautifully detailed. The graphics are astounding and each time I marvel at my surroundings. Customization is abundant. There are plenty of outfits and weapon attatchments to chose from. Lara can equip quite a few different things on all of her weapons. The story was wonderful. It was gripping and had my focus the entire game. Most games don't make so excited to play that I finish in only a few days. I could not put the controller down. As for actual tomb raiding, this one does a very good job at it. There are tons of tombs and crypts to explore. The 2013 Tomb Raider lacked this but this one surely didn't. It is worth every penny and I highly recommend buying it! 23 out of 25 people found this helpful. Translate to English. Язык Microsoft Store: United States - English. New Add-On Content Detailed for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Back in October Crystal Dynamics talked a little about their plans for a season pass and how they wanted to add more content to the single-player experience. At The Game Awards we actually got to see Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch for the first time. Rise of the Tomb Raider’s DLC detailed, coming throughout 2016 with new outfits and weapon skins too. Now we have far more details following the show the other night. Major Nelson has posted details about a number of different content packages that’ll be available as either standalone DLC or part of the season pass that’s available. All the DLC will be available for both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. Though Rise of the Tomb Raider hasn’t yet been released on the PC (or PS4 for that matter), it’s not much of a stretch to think that most, if not all, of the DLC that’s coming will be available for all platforms. It’s also possible that platform exclusive DLC, or other content, could arrive in the future. The timed exclusive for the Xbox One might precipitate that. Rise of the Tomb Raider DLC Details: Endurance Mode – Available December 29 th. Then, jump down to the area next to the river and ruined log cabin to find a pack of razorback boars to use it on to get the achievement. Easy "Bar Brawl" achievement. The "Deadly Force" skill is required. Stealth kill an enemy with a bottle in your hand to get the "Bar Brawl" achievement. Easy "Chemical Warfare" achievement. In Expedition mode, select "The Acropolis" chapter on the lowest difficulty in "Chapter Replay". You can also select "Chapter Replay Elite" to use your upgraded gear to make it easier. When the chapter begins, proceed down to the town to encounter some enemies after a short cutscene. Get the enemies attention by shooting at them, then fallback and take cover. Once the enemies are standing close together, shoot them with a poison arrow. If you fail to get the achievement, simply reload the chapter and try again. Easy "For My Next Trick. " achievement. After making some progress through the story, fast travel to the Valley Farmstead Base Camp in Geothermal Valley. Nearby is a small village with a few houses and a large well in the middle. Near the well is a shack with some boxes to the left of the entrance, which you can jump onto with a sprinting start. Once on the boxes, climb onto the roof of the shack. You can also use the extended grapple to get on the roof if you are struggling using this method. Once on top, line yourself up with the well while giving yourself as much running space as possible and making sure to leap from the ledge closest to the well. Sprint, then jump as late as possible and quickly press LT to swan dive. If done correctly, Lara will swan dive into the well and you will get the "For My Next Trick. " achievement. Easy "Huntress" achievement. The Huntress outfit can be obtained from an NPC in the Geothermal Valley region. Keep doing side missions until it becomes available. Easy "No Guts, No Glory" achievement. Fast travel to Ridgeline Base Camp in Geothermal Valley, which can be accessed after progressing through most of the story to reach this area. The base camp is located at the top of a waterfall, and just off to the side you can see a wooden platform with a red mark on it that pokes out of the side of the cliff edge. Get a running start towards the platform, jump once you reach the end, and quickly perform a swan dive by pressing LT. If done with the correct timing, Lara will enter the swan dive downwards and you will get the "No Guts, No Glory" achievement upon hitting the water. If you fail, climb out of the water, ascend the hill, and try again. Easy "Paying Respects" achievement. After making significant progress through the story and completing the "Flooded Archives" chapter, your objective will be to proceed up the mountains to the observatory, which is at the top of hill near the waterfall in Geothermal Valley. Just a bit down hill from the base camp at the top of the hill, off to the right hand side (if ascending), you can find a small group of people sitting next to a tombstone. Walk up to them to get the "Paying Respects" achievement. If ascending, it will be immediately to the right after crossing a small wooden bridge and climbing up a small rockface. Note: You can replay "Flooded Archives" in Expedition mode if you missed the opportunity the first time. Easy "Quick And Painless" achievement. Get the "Anatomical Knowledge" skill from the "Catacomb Of Sacred Knowledge" tomb. It is also helpful to have the "True Shot" skill. Easy "Quiet Time" achievement. Fast travel to the Ruins Encampment Base Camp in Geothermal Valley. From this base, run up the hill to see the dome shaped building near the top of the hill. You can access this area by going up the hill, entering the building next to it, and using the tree branch to swing across. Once you swing across into the tall domed building, hang off the ledge and shimmy to the right to find a wooden chair on a small piece of the roof. Pull yourself up, approach the chair, and press X to sit down to get the "Quiet Time" achievement. Easy "Rotisserie" achievement. You can shoot a chicken out of the air with a fire arrow once you have reached the Valley Farmstead base camp in Geothermal Valley. There are some chickens nearby you can chase and catch. Then, carry the chicken to a good area where you can throw it up in the air and shoot it with a fire arrow. Easy "Spinning Leaf" achievement ("Cold Darkness Awakened" DLC) Use the Big Head Mode and Big Head Enemies cards. If you only have the Big Head Mode card, which makes Lara's head big, it will add some amount of score bonus in Endurance mode because you will be easier to hit. However, the Infected here are melee-only, with an occasional suicide grenadier, so it will not be too difficult. Also, consider using the card that adds a 100% score bonus. It makes Infected only killable by headshots and finishers and will make sure that you get the correct kind of kill. You have approximately 12 seconds between each kill. Infected will spawn everywhere, especially if you make noise. Easy "Trick Shot" achievement. You can shoot a bottle out of the air once you have reached the Ruins Encampment base camp in Geothermal Valley. There is a crate of bottles near the campfire that you can use to toss in the air and shoot. Easy "Triple Threat" achievement. In Expedition mode, select "The Acropolis" chapter on the lowest difficulty in "Chapter Replay". You can also select "Chapter Replay Elite" to use your upgraded gear and shotgun to make it easier. When the chapter begins, proceed down to the town to encounter some enemies after a short cutscene. Get the enemies attention by shooting at them, then fallback and take cover. Once the enemies are standing close together, use the smoke bomb to confuse the enemies, then run up to them and keep shooting them with the shotgun to weaken them and eventually kill three enemies with one shotgun blast. If you fail to get the achievement, simply reload the chapter and try again. Easy "Weaponsmith" achievement.
