Why are we paying for this broken unpolished game? The Ultimate team mode is surely borderline gambling with a false hope installed into our heads through EAs puppet youtubers. If I had known that after only a few months of buying the game I would have already uninstalled it 3 times then I certainly wouldn't have wasted my money. The only good thing about this game is the career mode update, other than that it's a pile of s**t. I was going to say the changes to defending were good but tackling is so flawed it's a joke. The game mechanics are so broken that simply passing the ball to your team mate who is standing 6 yards away from you is nearly impossible at times. When passing, whether you push your analaog stick up, down, left or right it really doesn't matter as the game decides where and who the ball goes to. And I couldn't possibly forget to mention switching players, which is so infuriatingly difficult 95% of the time that I can guarantee you will concede goals because the game cycles through your midfielders rather than the CB you've been switching to for 5 seconds. Clunky gameplay, increased amount of injuries in UT and, like many others have described, games that feel scripted. It isn't fun to play and feels more like a chore to grind out a win where you have 3 injuries and a keeper who concedes goals at their near post. I try playing squad battles on FUT as i prefer single player over multiplayer and all I've seen is the most stupid ai ever made. I try passing? It randomly shoots instead. I want to make a run? It makes one of my players dribble the ball in the wrong direction off the pitch. And don't even let the opposing team into the box because I have had a countless amount of times where a random player on my team has done a red card tackle inside the box without my control over them and ultimately made me concede a penalty I can't defend against because of the games 10 second controller delay. They dont make runs into space, run wen there is no space, and dont check back or get open when marked, and take too long to come back onsides. User defense is a joke, cant react or mark when pressure comes, wont select the right guy half the time. AI defenders are stupid but then display inhuman ability to block shots. Passing is slightly improved but still broken, might as well turn off assisted passing. It is clear that after a highly defensive fifa17 developers wanted to tone down the AI assistance. Unfortunely they went too far in the opposite direction, the defence now clears a path for the offence, often running away from the ball. The smallest of strikers easily shrug off the strongest of centerbacks. Response to changing of direction on defence feels highly delayed. The keepers are essentially another post to ricochet off of into the net. After 2 days and 20+ games, Ihave not played a game witth a total score of less than 5. Big news in the world of FIFA: EA Sports has ditched Legends - aka retired footballers for FIFA Ultimate Team - in favour of multiplatform Icons. Icons will be available on all platforms, EA said today. And the first Icon is Ronaldo. No, not that Ronaldo. Old Ronaldo. EA has also gone with PS4 for its FIFA 18 marketing, which is a significant switch after a number of years with Xbox. FIFA 18 comes out on 29th September 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS3 and Xbox 360, according to a press release issued today. EA notes "not all features available on all platforms", so expect the Switch version, for example, to work differently to the PS4 and Xbox One versions. At the end of the trailer, below, is fine print that confirms unlike the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions, the Switch version of FIFA 18 does not run on the Frostbite game engine, nor does it include the Journey story mode. You can play the full game before launch day by getting one of the special editions (there's a Ronaldo Edition and an Icon Edition). This grants three-day early access, so you can play from Tuesday, 26th September. EA Access and Origin Access members get up to 10 hours of playtime starting Thursday 21st September.
