Bad Company 2 & Re-release on XboxONE and PS4. the PC version of the game when put on max settings looks fantastic. and has 32 player matches, 1080p, 60fps. PSN or XBLA for $20. why BC2? why not xbox one version of BF3? no bad company leave it die bf1942 or bfv. I like BC games, but an updated BF1942 or vietnam would be amazing. I wanna drop napalm on people. Bad Company games were terrible. BF2, BF3 & BF4 are the only good Battlefield games. Bc2 was so slow, clunky and sluggish. I enjoyed it, but bf3 and bf4 are way better. I'll take the maps though. No, they shouldn't waste resources on a game that came out three years ago. We have bigger issues. The pinnacle of the Battlefield series is at long last backward compatible on Xbox One. Of course, I'm talking about Battlefield Bad Company 2 , which came out way back in 2010. There have been four games in the franchise since ( Battlefield 3 , 4 , Hardline and last year's Battlefield 1 ), but the developers at DICE still haven't gone back to the Bad Company well. As a refresher, the Bad Company sub-series started out as a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game, and put a big emphasis on the single-player campaign. It was a stark departure for the previously multiplayer-only (and mostly PC-based) franchise, and also served as the starting point for the Frostbite game engine that powers almost everything publisher Electronic Arts makes these days. The campaigns followed a ragtag group of disgraced soldiers and took a tone more along the lines of Tropic Thunder than Black Hawk Down . The writing was hilarious, often taking direct jabs at how over-serious Call of Duty and other military games had become -- something that even followed through to the game's marketing materials. What's most impressive, though, is that neither the multiplayer or campaign portions felt tacked on to service the other; each felt complete on their own. For Bad Company 2 , DICE ramped up the humor and, on the tech side, the scale and destruction. Especially in terms of multiplayer. For a better idea of how the game plays, check out the video below. There's some colorful language, but it's all in the name of humor and giving a heads up on how to play effectively. After any given match, structures would be demolished and the map (Arica Harbor, whatup?) looked wildly different as buildings were torn asunder. The chaos of squad-based combat left its scars on the, well, battlefield in a way that was fun and believable. Speaking of maps, to keep things fresh EA regularly gave out free map packs for a year after the game came out. Would that happen today? Hahahahahaha. And while Battlefield 1 definitely scratches my longstanding itch, I'm more excited to jump into a chopper in BC 2 's Vietnam maps with Creedence Clearwater Revival playing in the background than I am to man a mounted gun on a zeppelin over France again. Way back when, Joystiq awarded the online offering four out of five stars, with Alexander Sliwinski saying that finding fault with the adversarial suite was "really difficult." So if the game is so great, how come it hasn't gotten the sequel it deserves? Well, back in 2014, then-CEO Karl Magnus Troedsson explained to Eurogamer that his studio didn't know what made the game so beloved to fans. Hence its long-standing hesitation. "It's scary to go back and try to remake an old fan favorite when no-one can really put their finger on what it is people love," he said. The good news is that with it being backwards compatible now, maybe you could find a few ways to articulate what's special about the game for EA. Battlefield 3 is on offer too, but if you didn't play it back in 2011, you aren't missing much six years later. Battlefield 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and more hit Xbox One backward compatibility. A new wave of highly-anticipated Xbox 360 titles is hitting backward compatibility today, adding three new games to the list of supported titles. Today's additions come from Electronic Arts, with Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, and Dragon Age: Origins all now playable on the Xbox One. As announced by Xbox's Larry Hryb on Twitter, all three of these games will be playable on Xbox One consoles later today. Both physical versions and existing digital licenses are valid on Xbox One, with digital versions available for newcomers via the Xbox Store. However, Battlefield 3 was never offered via Games on Demand, meaning only disc-based versions of the game are supported. While these titles have all seen large followings in the past, Battlefield Bad Company 2 is among the biggest games this last generation. With an expansive single player campaign and a critically acclaimed multiplayer segment, the game sits among the biggest shooters released during the Xbox 360's lifespan. Battlefield 3 was released shortly after Battlefield Bad Company 2, while also being one of the last Battlefield releases for Xbox 360. Taking combat forward into the present day, Battlefield 3 brought more realistic gameplay and graphics to the Xbox 360. Although the game was never applauded for its single player, its multiplayer delivered unrivaled destruction and scale to the first-person shooter landscape. The last of today's lineup is Dragon Age: Origins – the first game in Electronic Art's flagship fantasy RPG franchise. With a diverse open-world and praised combat system, the game is a great way to get started with the Dragon Age franchise. What do you think of today's new backward compatible games? The definitive Battlefield experience. Title says it all folks. Dont like the feel of the new Frostbite engine? Then allow this game to take you back to a time where everything felt more fluid. 95 out of 99 people found this helpful. Still the very best Battlefield game. Campaign is top notch, Multiplayer is still the best it's ever been. Absolutely recommend. In fact, I encourage you to buy this so the lobbies can have more people. 43 out of 44 people found this helpful. My favorite shooter is finally back! I love this game. From the amazing Frostbite 2.0 engine that allows you to fully destroy buildings, to the countless guns and gadgets you collect through the ranks. This game is amazing. Call of Duty doesn't let you fly a helicopter, drive a tank, or level a building with 10 enemies inside it. Not many games I've played has given me such satisfaction when pluging my knife into their chest and stealing their shiny gold dogtags which you keep FOREVER! Once I collected one guys tags over 15 times. Talk about embarrassing. But anyway, even if you've already put hundreds of hours into Battlefield 1, go back in time a little any play this gem. I just discovered it became backwards compatible and almost went insane. Still downloading it as I write this review. The maps are some of the more memorable ones I've played in recent games. Awww man, can't wait to play Harvest Day! I'm running out of space, and if you've gotten this far, congrats, DOWNLOAD THIS AND GIVE MY REVIEW SOME JUSTICE. 57 out of 60 people found this helpful. Fun > Grit and Realism. Battlefield's main selling point to a lot of people is that its the most warlike console FPS franchise on the market, but even those people can agree that a game being hyper-realistic doesn't mean much if the game isn't fun. Bad Company 2 trades off some features that would otherwise be kept for realism's sake to create a more entertaining and enjoyable experience, and has a very chill and light-hearted tone to it that helps greatly in mitigating that stress that Battlefield fans know too well from maps like Operation Metro and Operation Locker. The game is definitely more enjoyable when played with a full squad of friends (which is way easier to set-up than it is in BF4 and BF1), but if you can't find anyone to play with, the Campaign is definitely a good substitute. The Campaign has some pretty solid gameplay (not the best levels or encounters, and it does drag in places), but the genuinely likeable and funny characters are what make it great. A must-play for any Battlefield fan. 133 out of 148 people found this helpful. So much fun. Of all the Battlefields this is my favorite and is the most fun! 18 out of 18 people found this helpful. Best of the best. My first experience with battlefield and never looked back to call of duty. From the battles to gun sounds everything is destructible so no where for campers to run or hide. 58 out of 65 people found this helpful. Still the best Battlefield. Love everything about the game especially the destruction. Make your own path, got a wall in the way, just blow a hole through it and go through. You can destroy a whole building making it collapse with the enemy team inside. Great fun to be had. Has what Battlefield 1 is missing. Purchase this and keep the multiplayer alive. You won't regret it. 44 out of 48 people found this helpful. My First Battlefield. This was the game that got me into the battlefield series. Of course i went back and played the campaign for the fist one, but I loved the online for this game back in it's prime. Especially the Vietnam Pack!! 33 out of 36 people found this helpful. While there are balancing issues within it holds up similar to Modern Warfare. There may be issues but it's much too fun to pass up. It surprsingly holds up as well as BF4 and other modern Battlefields. 40 out of 45 people found this helpful. Translate to English. Язык Microsoft Store: United States - English. Battlefield: Bad Company is the latest Xbox One Backward Compatible title. Battlefield: Bad Company is joining the Xbox One Backward Compatibility catalog today, just two days after Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and ScreamRide were added to the list. The FPS launched exclusively on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 back in June 2008, and its sequel Battlefield Bad: Company 2 (released in 2010) was already backward compatible on the Xbox One since January. Battlefield: Bad Company is coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today https://t.co/qPMRNrLoTQ pic.twitter.com/v8TSE6md0V. The game is currently priced at $14.99 on the Xbox Store, and here is its official description: Battlefield: Bad Company follows a wayward band of ordinary soldiers who decide that sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn’t enough. Featuring a dramatic storyline loaded with a unique attitude, the game delivers the series’ trademark sandbox gameplay in a universe where almost everything is destructible. The ever-changing battlefield forces players, their team mates and enemies to react accordingly and use destruction tactically. The game also features the all new, objective based multiplayer game mode “Gold Rush”, supporting 24 players online. Play as attackers and defenders and make full use of the tactical destruction as well as the unique vehicle experience that can only be experienced in Battlefield: Bad Company. Microsoft announced last month that over 400 Xbox 360 games are now backward compatible on the Xbox One, which is pretty good considering that the feature launched nearly two years ago. There are probably still many old gems that deserved to be added to the list, but it’s great that the Xbox team keeps announcing new additions at a regular pace. Blocked IP Address.
